This is actually really good.
No fan is silent; not even Dyson could make an extractor fan that did not make some sort of noise. The main thing is, I can't hear this fan from my bedroom when it keeps running (the Manrose fan that it replaced was painfully loud, and not very good at the job it was suppoed to do).Installation was very simple and (other than fixing the previous installer's botch job behind the fan itself) it didn't take long to have the old one out and put the new one in.It does a very good job of removing humidity and the built-in humidistat is adjustable and seems to be very accurate. It switches itself on when I have a shower, which I am very happy with.Would recommend.

Advised not to ceiling mount in the instructions
The fan works really well and the instructions are good. However, I was trying to find out before I bought it whether it could be ceiling mounted but the product information does not included this information. In the instructions, it is advised not to ceiling mount it but I have gone ahead anyway and fitted a condensation trap immediately above it.
