My favorite of the Ziggys & Nixit cups
The size A is easy to insert even on light days. It is a smaller diameter, but deeper, so it still has a large capacity. I don’t see any benefit to the new pull tab texture on the ziggy2. It comes with a fabric drawstring bag instead of the silicone carrying case my previous one included. I forever the silicone case due to its smaller size and being water/mess-proof enough for my purse. The pic attached shows the Ziggy1 size A, Ziggy2 size B, Nixit cup, and their respective bags for comparison. The Nixit is sometimes more difficult to remove due to the softer rim. This is my favorite cup of the 3(no kids for context).

Leaks less than a cup
I have a post birth body and I find that the larger opening of this product leaks lot less than the typical cup shape. I also find it a lot less difficult to "sit right" when inserting and placing. If you are concerned about the price, you may want to try out the disposable disc's first to see if the fit is right for you. I found I really liked the disposable disc's fit and that long term this reusable product was most cost effective.

Too big and leaks
I have used cups in the past that were once you just throw away. I figured I’d upgrade because I liked them so much. Found this brand wasn’t sure what size to get. I clearly bought the wrong one it has a hard time going in while on my period and it leaks so much! Never had this issue before. Normally cramps aren’t bad with my soft cups. Hurts to remove because of its size so maybe it’s just a size issue. Very sad about this. Will need to try other size or brand. What an expensive mistake on my behalf.

Open package and Damaged
When I texted this product, the package was opened and covered in a scented jelly substance. Not something you want to see when you are purchasing a menstrual product. I still wanted to try it and so I purchased it elsewhere. This review is strictly for the product itself.Day 1 of my period. The smaller size is a perfect size for me. I already know that I need a disc around this size from trying other discs and experimenting. This disc on day 1 of a heavy period has been good but not great. Good because no leaks and it holds a lot more than the Diva disc which is my usual go to disc. I took it out to empty it and put it back in while I was at a friends house and it was not so easy. I found without the natural lubrication from my period, the soft disc was not inserting as easily. I could not get the disc in no matter how hard I tried. I had to leave it out, let myself bleed a little and then put it back in. If I had lube it would have been just fine but I didn’t have any on me. I love it and trust it so far, but I will update if that changes.

Works wonderfully
This works very well for me, although I will admit that there was a learning curve in the beginning, in terms of use. What I have found to be most efficient is that as soon as the first hint of your period shows up that it should be used from that point forward. I have found that if I wait, it does not seem to work as well. I personally empty and clean it twice per day during my cycle and I’ve had no issues. The benefit of not having disposable waste in the form of applicators or packaging was the reason that I even began using this. It also can be left in for longer than traditional products if needed

Double rim makes insertion painful
I love how soft the basin is on this disc as thicker basins often add bulk to the disc making insertion more difficult. However, the double rim on this disc made insertion painful. Tried once and gave up. Tried a second time and got it inserted, but not without some discomfort. Perhaps lube will help, but am not interested in a product that I'll need to use lube for when there are other discs where lube is not necessary.

Product Is Worth A Try. That Packaging Is Weird But Improvement.
Starting with packaging. It’s minimal and an environmentally friendlier improvement compared to the packaging for the original Ziggy cup that was all plastic. I saw in a previous review that the product sat at the bottom of the box and mine came the same way. As you can see it was supposed to sit in a hole that held it up but I guess they gave up and put it in the box like that which doesn’t make sense. There is a cut out for the product to sit securely in. It had no bearing on the quality of the product nonetheless. Most start their menstrual disc journey with Nixit as had I. The material is similar to the Ziggy Cup 2 as it is very luxurious but most women had an issue with the size/diameter. Ziggy cup 2 size A seemed all around perfect from the size, the quality, and the firmness which is perfect for me personally. This company as well as Cora Woman seem like a fantastic brand and company for womyn(EDIT cora is no longer for womyn), quality and ethics wise.Luckily with amazon you can return products like this. I say try this disc/cup because you never know what will work and maybe I don’t know if it’s because I have a small fornix, tilted cervix, i’m unusually sensitive, or i’m just a beginner. But, having a cup that is small and malleable like this is SO much better than a very rigid one. That’s personal preference. It just feels better and if you’re abnormally small or have anatomical issues that make fiddling with reusable products more likey, having something that can conform and be crushed up a little helps. I’ll update with more later.

FOR $45, WHY DOESN'T IT COME WITH A CASE?
This is my first cup and I've been using it for a few months now. I like that it sits flat and find that it's easy for me to put in and take out. There are two things I don't like. 1) It stains easily. I rinse it out in the sink each time I take it out and after a few cycles, it's starting to get discoloured. I guess I should have expected that, but it just seems like something they would have thought about in the design process. I would have bought the dark pink one just for that reason, but my flow isn't heavy enough to justify it. 2) FOR $45,HOW DOES THIS CUP NOT COME WITH A CASE?!?!? Other than I can't even find my ride-or-die brand of tampon anymore, I wanted to switch to a cup to take a more sustainable approach to my period. This is something I want to keep in my purse and I don't want to switch out tampon waste to switching out ziplock plastic bags to carry this around in my purse. It also bugs me that people would be able to see it in the clear bag, especially because now it's slightly discoloured.

Useless for me… not useless for her
At first when this arrived I wasn’t sure what was going on, at first I thought I’d been presented with an all weather skull cap, but then realised I’m not Jewish nor was it a very good fit (didn’t mind the colour though). Then I thought maybe I’d got this thing when grabbing some diy stuff (part of the whole “goes well with” impulse purchases I often make)… nothing added up. The only purpose I found for it was to go over a small yoghurt pot so it would stay fresh if I didn’t finish it all… but even that was pointless (who can’t finish a small yoghurt?!)Turns out my ex is still using my Amazon prime account… anyway… I now know what it IS for… I probably won’t be purchasing another one, but my ex might????
