The USB video DisplayLink adapter is performing exactly as expected. For general office use, programming, it is performing just fine with two 4k monitors. I'm running them at 30 Hz and that should help full-screen refresh performance. Video is fine. I have no idea about video games.BT Recommended

Writing this review because I tried several other adapters that didn’t work. I have a 2022 Mac book air running with Sonoma 14.6.1 for work and needed a smaller DisplayPort adapter for traveling to connect to 2 external monitors. I already had the DisplayPort app on my Mac, plugged this in and it worked immediately. Very satisfied and great value!!

I have a laptop that only had 1 HDMI out port, but I daytrade and do web design so I need my laptop monitor plus 2 other monitors at all times.Because my laptop USB ports do not support video out, my options were limited. That's when I did some research and arrived at this unit. It works beautifully and because it has its own video processor, it does not tax your cpu/video card to be running other monitors using this. The image quality is every bit as good as my other screens and there has been zero lag.Overall, it was worth every penny.

This was the only adapter I could find that worked with Linux.

I recently purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15ALC7. The docking station I had at home did not work with the new laptop and my two 27" monitors, so I purchased a different brand for the docking station and it still did not work. I contacted Lenovo tech support and was informed that the laptop I purchased does not work with ANY docking station for multiple external displays. I'm not super tech-savvy and was very surprised to learn this. I would not have purchased this laptop had I known it was not compatible with any docking stations for multiple external displays. Refusing to accept that I could not use this new laptop with my two monitors, I ordered the USB Graphics to Dual HDMI/Display Port Adapter. I followed the instructions included, making sure to install the driver first. The adapter works great! I am now able to use the IdeaPad 1 laptop with my two 27" monitors in extended mode! The adapter gets very hot and that's why I'm giving it four stars. If it had not gotten so hot, I would have given it 5. I could be wrong, but the fact that the adapter gets so hot makes me think that it will probably not last very long. I'll be thrilled if I can get a year out of it.

All worked fine, easy driver installs, the hardware feels solid, etc.Suddenly, while using it, one monitor shuts down.I've updated the driver - nothing happened, Then I swapped the outputs, and the other monitor plugged into the unit was turning off and the one that wasn't working before was working, so that's a hardware issue as far as I'm concerned.Honestly, I didn't imagine it would work forever but thought that even if it would last for one year (because you know how it is with Apple and 3rd party devices that undermine their products' limitations), it would be worth the investment. But man, for less than 2 weeks, it isn't worth the setup arrangements I've made just for it so I'll be having 3 monitors on my M1 Mac mini.If it wasn't clear by now - not recommending at all.

I am slowly converting away from DVI to HDMI on all my monitors. Moreover, I don't have many HDMI interfaces to do so. I don't do gaming. Although I had to download new drivers for each OS installation, that is a one-time effort. After that, it was very satisfying to plug in two independent monitors to this adapter and use a single USB-3 port and get multiple monitors. Each monitor is INDEPENDENT.
