These are amazing!Work perfectly in my kids room. Blocks so much light and makes it so dark. It has made nap time so easy! They seem pretty durable, stick well to window and easy to hang up too. Definitely recommend and not too expensive either!

These are not exactly "shades". "Shades" implies it hangs from a fixture, and these don't. (I'm neurodivergent, so language details matter to me.) It is one big piece of material (which seems to be a thin plasticized fabric), black on one side, and silver (not shiny, though) on the other. It's big enough to cover around 4 medium-sized windows, I estimate. My two windows are 52" X 31", and I used just under half of the sheet provided.You know that old saying, measure twice, cut once? It's true, but it sure would help if there were some way to get the folds out of the sheet first. I did okay, because I have a really large cutting mat to spread it out on, and metal yardsticks to flatten it out with, but it was NOT an easy job because I didn't have a table available to work on. I had to lay everything out over the foot of my bed to get it done. To the older folks out there, or anyone with back issues - don't bother with this unless you have a decent-sized table or large counter to work on.Anyway, with that said, these DO block the light out completely, as long as you can manage to seal off the edges. It's Fall now where I am, so I can't say how good they are at keeping heat out. Maybe I'll return to this review and edit it next summer when I find out.The velcro dots stick VERY well, so make sure they are where you want them before you put the panel up. Frankly, the material is lightweight enough to only need half a dot every 4 or 5 inches at the top, so that's what I did - cut most of them in half. They're about 1 and 3/8 inches or 3cm in diameter, so they're definitely big enough. They will gum up your scissors, though, so be prepared for that if you decide to cut them. Have some Goo-Gone or other adhesive remover ready to clean them with if you want to use them again.Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, and will likely buy this item again if I end up needing more. And I think it turned out better than actual curtains would have.

This products works great, very very dark! The value is good, easy to put up. It 100% blocks out the light and has also helped cool my house! I’ve been able to cut it and use it for multiple windows as well, very big! It did have a funny smell when I opened it but eventually went away

I love to sleep in the complete dark, also my husband works lots of overnights and sleeps during the day sometimes so these shades are perfect. I've used something like this before and they worked well but the fabric was much thinner and tore easily. I think these shades are great because they go directly over the window to block out light, unlike traditional shades or curtains that let in even the smallest amounts of light. I measured the windows and cut a little extra fabric just incase my cutting was a little uneven. I cut the shade to fit over each window length wise. The velcro is great quality, and the adhesive on the back has proven to hold well. During the days we don't need the shades on we can either take the whole thing off or unfasten the bottom velcro and roll them up to let in the light.

Bought these for my kid’s room because even with blackout curtains, so much light leaked into their rooms from the tops and sides, making him wake up nearly at the crack of dawn every morning 😂 They aren’t perfect, and I knew they wouldn’t be, but they definitely have helped A LOT, and I would definitely recommend buying these if you want less light coming through your windows!I will say it would be easier to measure and mark with a yard stick rather than the tape measure that comes with it, but with one person holding the tape measure down and the other drawing a line with a sharpie on the silver side, we got the job done.
