I am absolutely thrilled with this book! Children find this idea of a heroic dog as a main character incredibly cute. The author's writing style is indicative of a high-level literary intelligence. Throughout the story, I sense the author has keen knowledge and understanding of creating excellent children's literature in a modern format that keeps attention going page after page. The book features high-quality story-telling that is suitable for the whole family to enjoy. Indeed, it's a lot of fun to take turns reading this book out loud with everyone around to enjoy. I love the incredibly artistic artwork of the illustrations, which say a thousand words about the care and attention to details that went into creating this story. There is not a boring page inside this book! If you are looking for a wonderful children's book that brings smiles and cheerful happiness to all around--this book is a delightful treasure! There is no boring fluff or slow-moving filler content with extraneous material to lose reader interest. This book delivers on excitement, action, and page-turning adventure! Kid-tested and parent approved! An intriguing plot with a valuable theme--this is a fun book with a story so epic, I hope it becomes a film! I can't wait to find out what happens next in the thrilling adventures of "Ranger!" I'm a customer who loves to read and truly values high-quality reading material for children. My son Loves Ranger In Time books and Vikings, so I bought this book for him and it did not disappoint him. The only thing he told me is you have to read rescue on the Oregon Trail first because it introduces you to Ranger and you will understand any other Ranger book better if you read the first book. If you love Vikings and adventure you will love this book.

The arrival time was very impressive. This book came in perfect condition.

I have purchased the whole series of "Ranger in Time" for my Grand son. He enjoys them very much. He literally devoured the last one I bought for him. He read it all in one day. These books are a great introduction to chapter books for the young reader.

My son is in 5th grade and loves this entire series for all the book reviews. So grateful for these books.

My daughters and I have enjoyed the Ranger in Time series, but I feel like we're outgrowing them. The series was some of the first chapter books we read together, but we've quickly moved on to longer stories. Going back to the latest books in the series, I was surprised at how short the story is and how simple the plot is. It was great for that short period of early chapter books (probably 4-5 years old--I read to them to my daughters), though (and not quite as formulaic as some of the other series we've read).

My son loves this series. Any kid who loves adventures and dogs will love these books.

Interesting stories with nuggets of history packed in the pages. We are nearing the last of the books and are hoping for more in the series from Kate Messner.
