MuelaMAGNUM-26 Red Stag Crown Antler Handle Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath

If you want to feel like a badass mountain man just by picking up a knife then order this one instead of that more conservative thing you had in mind. If you want to kill a brown bear or a spinosaurus in hand to hand combat, this knife is also for you. This knife would make Aldo Raine giggle like a little girl, and just touching it will increase your testosterone. I’m a big fan of bowies, the history of the knife is a geeky fascination of mine and I’m collector and practitioner of bladed martial arts, the use of the bowie knife being among what I train in. So far this is my favorite fighting knife. I like it much better than my cold steel natchez, also a great fighting knife, but the muela magnum 26 is just so much more badass and agile. It’s very good as a martial arts weapons, as cuts, thrusts snap cuts and false edge cuts are lightning quick. I’m sure it’ll do fine as a camp/bushcraft knife but it feels like something to be used in a knife fight with bikers in Utah or helping out when you’re Pierce Brosonon taking on a gang of bounty hunters armed with only a knife. It has enough blade to cut tatami mats too like you would with a sword. The red stag is an awesome grip material as the natural curve makes it more nimble feelings in the hand; the material is coarse for traction and at the same time very comfortable. The blade has a shallow hollow grind on both on the front edge and unsharpened swedge. I intend to sharpen the swedge as one of the most useful attacks a Bowie can do is the back cut and I wanna bring the full potential out of this knife seeing as I like it so much. The sheath is pretty standard right hand draw straight hang Sheath With somewhat thick welt, dark brown leather with a tasteful black logo emboss, but the retention strap is a Not secured by a snap button but a belt buckle. While it’s charming and seems to go well with the knife as a whole I think just about everyone would prefer a snap button Retention strap. As a “knife guy” and “sword guy” I highly recommend it.

Presentation, reliability, and fun. Not only is this monster a masterpiece, it's also a fully functional bowie.The leather sheath is good quality, not cheap faux leather that will fall apart after a few days wear. The blade came sharp and is easy to clean and maintain. Better than standard stainless. The stag antler handle fills my large hands well and feels very comfortable and weildable.This knife, although large, is much lighter than expected. Most bowies are front heavy, but the balanceon this knife is phenomenal.I've greatly enjoyed showing off the fashion and the function. I wouldn't hessitate to take this blade into the woods or into a fight.Proper care and maintenance should keep this knife by my side for a long time.Buy with confidence.

This knife looks better than expected. The crown stag handle is gorgeous. It has lots of grain, a great feel, and a beautiful crown. Muela exceeded my expectations again. The fit and finish are exceptional. It is worth so much more than I paid for it. I am thinking of buying another one.

Handle was half white, not the dark color I was hoping for. It was sharp but not very sharp. I edited my review, I was disappointed at first. After taking it on a camping/fishing trip I fell in love with it. It feels good in the hand. I will never be separated from this knife.
