Perfect drill, much beefier than the 2-speed model.
I have several other dewalt drills including corded and cordless versions.My corded model does not have a key-less chuck and does not have a clutch either. I will only be using the corded one for things like mixing paint or thin set mortar.I find the clutch to be a very important safety consideration. I never put the chuck setting to solid drill mode, instead I always dial it down to the highest clutch setting so if it binds up while drilling (like hitting an unexpected nail), the clutch slips instead of torquing my arms and joints which risks injury. I have enough issues with tendentious, don't need any more unnecessary tendon torture.Also, this drill has a hammer-mode which is great for drilling holes in concrete and the like (other 2 speed cordless dewalts I have don't have a hammer-mode).

used on my ice auger. drilled , 30 8in. holes worked great .much power.

Gets the job done.
My 18v hammerdrill disappeared, so I bought this one to finish a job. Other than a burr on the collar that sliced my finger open it performed as expected.

Great tool but came used
I can't fault the tool because somebody sold is as new even though it was clearly used. Seems to be more and more common on Amazon lately. Tool itself is fantastic. Booo to the seller.
