Decent Projector
I took a chance and purchased a renewed LS 300 and so far, its been great. All of the advertised claims are accurate. The brightness in my opinion is too bright, but there are settings to allow you to reduce the overall brightness down which also helps conserve lamplife. The image quality is fantastic both in terms of focus and colors. I've learned that the projector is only as good as the source material, so if you're expecting an old DVD that is 480p or 720p to look great, then think again. Older DVDs will only look good on older projectors or TVs that were built to support the lower resolution. In my opinion, the projection quality of older DVDs is decent enough to get by, but for those that are expecting 4k quality on a 720p DVD film, then you may not be happy, but again, it's not the projector that is flawed. I was unable to find any defect with this projector. Netflix looks great on it. If you are like me and reviewed 30 different projectors to find a good one, then just pick the one that has the best price and features because I'm certain they are all the same. Any lumens above what this projector can do is overkill for the home theater user. I can not hear the fan while watching a movie. It's very quiet. No complaints at all so far...

Great Projector
Works great and was easy to set up. I did see some reviews about the picture size but the 15inch distance from the wall is measured from the front of the projector, not the actual lens. It projects the correct size based on distance. The lens cover does look “dusty” but that’s semi-normal for projectors and has not messed with the picture at all.

Crisp picture. Some lag. No Netflix App
Amazing picture quality even in day time. We have really good internet and WiFi but there are definitely occasional glitches (like every couple of minutes) when we watch through the projector apps that we don’t get when we use the computer. There is an HDMI connector but that means a cord running across the room to the computer. Would NOT be good for gaming or the picky viewer who hates lags. Love having the apps and the remote control but there is NO Android app for Netflix so we have to do the cord across the room. Al of the trouble shooting tips (turn things to lower resolution etc) do NOT work on the LS300. They are not options. Totally better than our old projector and live having it so close to the wall, but glad we got it cheaper refurbished. Would be super mad if had paid full price. But great resolution and easy/ish to set up once you stop looking for Netflix.

Awful
(Refurbished unit) Picture is of the unit right in front of my screen which placed the laser cluster at 13 inches. They claim you can achieve a 120' image at 15.2 inches and there is absolutely no way that is possible. Fuzzy image even at its closest position to the screen. Focus adjustment was a waste of time. Only has 1 USB port and there is no way to run Ethernet to the unit so you are stuck with WIFI.This unit would be a upgrade only if you have been watching TV on a old Vacuum tube or a old shoe. However, if you've been using a UHD, OLED or even a LCD tv then buying the Epson LS300 laser projector will be a huge step down.Very rare I leave bad reviews

Great projector for price
This projector is great overall. I have noticed the picture quality is dependent on the actual media being played. Example: the picture playing x-files on freevee (I think filmed in the 90’s) is decent. New films, 4K (although not a 4K projector) is amazing! I have mind in my bright living room and am able to watch movies with no issues. Obviously picture is not a bright due to the contrasting ambient light, but negligible. I have mine set to 100”. I don’t like the OS so I use a 4K fire stick which makes a big difference. The sounds is ok but I use my Bose 500 sound bar via Bluetooth (connected through firestick) and it sounds great. Overall, great purchase. Would highly recommend for price.

Good hardware, bad software
Hardware is pretty good. Software is terrible, many integrations don't work. The product is not supported by the software manufacturer. I got this at a deep discount, so I am ok with it because the hardware is good.

So far so good
Bought these refurbished. It’s been a month in. So far, I’m loving it. Great picture quality and brightness.FANThe fan just make a noise during start up. But it quiets down after 15–20 seconds, and becomes this negligible hum that recedes to the background unnoticed. I live in a pretty small apartment and it does not bother me. I use the projector at 80% brightness, good for the evening, passable(maybe) on a bright sunny day. I do acknowledge that the fan gets a lot louder if I turn the brightness up to 100% in a unpleasant way. So, so far I’ve avoided that. Otherwise, it works great.ANDROID TVI’m not a fan of this OS. it’s very hard to use. I use an Amazon Firestick instead. And it works great!I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone.

true short throw and great picture
Some reviewers complaint about throw distance. I suggest you read the manual first prior to order and there you can find details about all the measurements to avoid surprise later on. This thing needs a bit patience to adjust but when completed it produce very nice image. The Yamaha built in sound is hyped and it's average at best. Don't use it unless you have to. The image deserves a serious sound system. My Denon receiver and Klipsch speakers paired up well.
