I did a lot of research before purchasing this air fryer and have zero regrets. It ticks all the features that make it a great buy. Easy to clean large basket, simple controls, a window, a light, quiet, controls cooking odor fairly well, and heats up quickly. Preheating is really unnecessary. I always use the minimum cooking time listed in the recipe. I don't normally cook meat in it since I use a grill 3 times a week, but decided to try a roast chicken. They recommended a 4lb chicken. Good luck finding a 4lb chicken. I got a 5.5 lb chicken and it fit fine. OMG! I'll never buy a store bought rotisserie chicken again. It was tender, juicy, and had beautifully crispy skin with flavor through to the bone. We use it mainly for roast potatoes, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, brussel sprouts, frozen pizza, tater tots, and hard boiled eggs. The eggs come out perfect every time. I bought it a year and a half ago for $109. There were similar sized air fryers that were cheaper, but none with all the features of this one.

This IS the best for the price and then some. We had the original instant fryer and used it to death, and just wanted to upgrade a little. This one though, wow, very quiet, almost don't think it's working, cooks very well, VERY healthy, size is great for 2-4 people, great tasting food always, versatile, and heats evenly, and very easy to clean, just like our old one. Would definitely recommend this ABOVE others. 😂 We hardly ever use our microwave anymore.

Fantastic design, easy to cleaning, taste of the food is well, easy and fast for cookability, healthy food with lower temperature, size is big but suitable for US kitchens.

After researching many options for air fryers online, I decided to purchase the Instant Vortex 6qt Airfryer with Clearview and Odor Erase. It was a bit bigger than expected, but the basket is nice and deep and wide, plus you can view the food cooking instead of opening the door every time you want to see how things are going. Love the window, and even with The liners I purchased, I can still see how the food is cooking. The odor erase is nice because it cuts down significantly on food smells coming out from the exhaust. If there were any drawbacks, I would say 1) I’d like the max temp to be higher. It says 450 in the description, but the max temp for air frying and baking is 400, roasting 360 etc. 2) the outer plastic and display are impossibly sensitive to scratches, so use a soft cloth to wipe the outside, and 3) It says the basket is dishwasher safe, but after reading reviews, I would not submerge the basket because condensation does get in between the outer plastic portion and inner basket glass, so its not a “sealed” unit. If this happens you could theoretically it apart and clean it, but seems like it would be a royal pain in the ass to get back together. The inner basket is coated non-stick, so just wipe it out with a damp sponge and mid soap and you're good to go! As far as Air Fying itself, it heats up super fast… like 2-4 min, and cooks faster than my convection range, so it saves on electricity, and all the recipes I have tried have been spot on for time, temp and tastiness…and easy. Very nice unit for the $.

This is becoming our go-to appliance in the kitchen. It's easy to use and program, and the food turns out great. We had a smaller one and outgrew it; this one is substantially larger so we're so glad we bought it. The lighted observation window works great. You can toss the cooking platform into the dishwasher, and the rest of this non-stick unit is very easy to clean. Be sure to go on Instant's website for hundreds of wonderful, step-by-step recipes (none come with the unit). Most of the recipes are tailor-made for this brand of air fryer. Highly recommend this air fryer; you won't be disappointed!

Before buying, I researched a variety of Air Fryers, including Consumer Reports' recommendations. I even borrowed an air fryer from a friend (wire racks as opposed to a bucket style). I am extremely happy with the Instant Vortex Plus 6 QT.Pros:1. It is a workhorse, holding a full 6 quarts of volume. I am only one person; however, I like to bulk cook and this air fryer works beautifully for large amounts.2. Simple to clean - the bucket removes easily, as does the wire rack insert. Soap, water and gentle sponging clean it easily. There are no wire shelves to scrub.3. Simple buttons for digital controls. Not complicated at all.4. Offers a variety of cooking settings so it not only air fries but bakes, roasts, reheats, etc.5. Not overly large or bulky. Fits under my cabinets; although, I pull it out when cooking.Cons:1. A bit pricier than other models but still feel it's well worth it.2. The 6 QT bucket is a tad heavy when using one hand to take it out and mix the food.I am really enjoying this Air Fryer and definitely recommend, especially for someone new to air frying. Trust me, the bucket style is so much easier to use and clean than the wire racks.Enjoy!!
