Digestic - Laxative for Constipation Relief, Stool Softener 100% Natural, 360 Capsules, Colon Detox Cleanse, Bloating and Gas Relief

Bought for my currently bed bound mother after septicemia. She is not strictly constipated but the lack of walking and independent movement along with tramadol is slowing her digestion. She isn't eating a large amount of food either but these tablets help her poop at least every other day and sometimes every day. They cause no gas or stomach cramps as the ones from the hospital did and poop quality is solid but not hard. I would say it takes a bit of experimentation of when and how often to take the capsules to get the result you want but that is good in my opinion because once you figure that out your poop routine should be quite predictable. I will know in a couple of months if she still requires them once she can walk again but as of now they have removed all of her stomach pain and she is able to poop as normally as anyone can in a diaper with limited ability to sit up and roll over easily ."she does not like taking tablets of any kind but doesn't find these particularly unpleasant. They are an average sized capsule to me but I do not have problems taking tablets so perhaps I am not a good judge. They smell quite strongly of licorice but I think it is another herb that smells similar in there because licorice isn't listed on here as an ingredient.Not a cheep buy but certainly a worthwhile one.

I have suffered from chronic constipation and impaction for over a decade and have tried everything. I’ve spoken to many doctors, a nutritionist and had a colonoscopy but never had any joy. Nothing seemed to give me a good balance or worked without painful side effects. This product has been a game changer for me - I’ve gone from not going to the loo for 4-5 days at a time to going pretty much every day, quickly and with no problems, and feeling nice and empty afterwards. If this works for me I think it would work for anyone!Two tablets in the morning was a bit much for me and sometimes one wasn’t enough so now I take one in the morning and one at night which seems to be a good balance.Sometimes I get a crampy feeling in my stomach which is uncomfortable but often after some food and passing wind it goes away. Not sure if this is the tablets, or anxiety, or something I have eaten.Give these a go, it’s unlikely you’ll regret it. They are expensive but when you look at the quality of life it gives you it’s a no-brainer.Please never stop selling these! I don’t know what I would do!

They are very good initially. But now my body has got used to them they are not very effective. PLUS... they are way too expensive now. Cost of living prices etc. I have to sometimes take 3 twice a day. I'm going to have to try something else.

I have been taking these regularly for about 3 years now, with absolutely no issues or side effects, and they are amazing.I am in my mid 50's and suffered with constipation and ibs for as far back as I can remember. I tried all sorts of other products but nothing helped - any benefit was always accompanied by some sort of unwanted side effect (cramping, churning, wind, diarrhoea etc).I now take 1 Digestic once a day, and find this is enough to keep me regular as clockwork without ever having to think about my constipation or ibs.These are brilliant, but they are expensive (luckily, when taken regularly I only need 1 a day).Once or twice I have not been able to afford these so have reluctantly switched to something else, but sure enough my symptoms will come straight back within a day or two, so I am forced back to these.As amazing as they are I do think the price is unnecessarily high, but they work for me so I make adjustments elsewhere and am (so far) just about able to afford them.

Although expensive they are really effective. I’ve only needed to take one in the evening and by morning they’ve done their job. I’d buy them again.

I used this product for almost 2 months but saw no improvements. I am really disappointed in the product as it was not effective in curing my problem.I don’t recommend the product

I have tried it for 2 weeks and have to admit it does the job of making you regular - however during the second week I started developing a bit of burning pain and mild cramping. If you are prone to bowel inflammation or IBD be mindful because unfortunately I believe it can worsen some symptoms despite making you regular. Upon research indeed some ingredients- apart from well known Senna (Cassia Angustifolia) - like Rhamnus Purshiana have actually a safe warning from FDA for being potentially toxic ! The same applies for Rhamnus franga which can irritate the gut lining. So all in all - while it clearly does the job to “ unclog “ your back passage it might also cause some troubles despite the use of herbal ingredients. The fact that a product uses “natural” ingredients doesn’t mean it’s 100% safe.Use with caution especially if you have history of IBD.
