Teach Me To Play Piano Preliminary Book For The Earliest Beginner

A great little instruction book. If you need to go back to the very beginning, this is it! I was looking for a simple beginner's book that introduced fingering, using both hands together, and a good warm-up. After weeks of struggling with the books that came with our new keyboard, after not playing for about 35 years, I searched for the first instruction book I had used, but it was not available. The Kasschau series I knew to be a good one, so I ordered "Teach Me To Play." After running through the simple exercizes, my fingers started to remember, and playing got easier. And the Dick and Jane style illustrations are charming.

I teach piano to beginners and this is the book I chose. It helps the beginner learn to actually read music by mixing in piano theory with the songs and keeping it interesting. Learn to play but also to read and write music.
