The Doctor is In! (Bubble Guppies) (Little Golden Book) Hardcover – Picture Book, August 7, 2012

My girls (ages 3 and 5) love the Bubble Guppies and we have a ton of the episodes on our DVR. They are always requesting the show. The show is great for its vivid colors and fun songs. It always has a positive message and teaches kids about a variety of things and occupations. You will probably find yourself with the catchy songs stuck in your head. The going outside song is the best.This book is based on the episode "Call A Clambulance" and is one of my girls' favorite episodes. This book follows along with the TV episode perfectly. In this book, Oona's friend Avi hurts his tail and has to go to the hospital to get checked out. This great story introduces the kids to the medical profession. They learn about doctors, bones, bandages and x-rays. There is, of course, a happy ending where Avi's broken tail gets fixed up by the doctor and feels better and all the kids get to sign his cast and draw pictures on it.My 3 year old chooses this book pretty often for her bedtime story. Books like this that follow so closely to the TV episode are always great because your child is already comfortable and engaged in the story.Long story short, this is a great story with a happy ending and a lesson about the medical profession. It is a great bedtime story book and a great book for your young readers. Highly Recommended.

Granddaughter loves Bubble Guppies and anything with those characters is hard to find. So thankful to find this book. Extra thankful she enjoyed — listened intently. I liked that it wasn’t just a trip to the doctor, but to the hospital, too — something she had not had experienced. The guppy accident discussed involved a broken tail fin and was handled gently and lightly.

Very cute book, but the quality is a little lacking. I remember Little Golden Books being a better quality as a child, but I guess the times have changed. The binding is cheaply done, the cover is thinner than expected and the pages probably won't last long with my 2 year old. I had hoped for a little better, but this product will serve it's purpose.

My daughter loves the Bubble Guppies and this book rocks her face off. If anyone has a child who enjoys the Bubble Guppies as much as my daughter then I would highly recommend this book. For individuals who have not seen this cute and adorable show on Nickelodeon I highly suggest you check it out. Your kids will like get tickled pink if they are not over the age of 4 or 5.
