I just installed this handle and it was a great fit on a medium-sized Samsonite suitcase with exactly 15cm between the metal end caps. It is a bit of a snug fit so the handle sticks up just a tiny bit, but not enough it will be a problem. I think I actually prefer it like this because it is really easy to get one's fingers around it for a quick grab. Unlike the Samsonite handle (that was all rubberized plastic), this replacement has metal reinforcement and feels very sturdy. It also looks great.For reference, I ordered the "BQLZR Suitcase Handle Replace Parts Luggage Hand Holder Flexible 15.5cm Carry Handle Grip."While it came with replacement hardware, I only used the handle. It worked nicely with all the old Samsonite hardware.Good luck on your repairs!

Worked on an old Tumi bag! Saved it!Tumi service had said it had no replacement part for broken strap handle.Chart of measurements was key - need to find the right package with correct distance between fastener holes.Took about 5 minutes to install.If strap length accompanying the correct brackets is of wrong length, you might be able to get a second package with correct strap length and put them together. Look carefully at dimensions chart and graphic images. Still cost effective.

If you only need to replace the handle, and can reuse the existing mounting hardware, it's relatively easy to find a compatible but not exact replacement.Measure the handle width and choose the same one for the replacement.Select a handle at least as long as the inner measurement of your mounting screws.The handle slides between the inner screws up to the outer screws. A longer handle will protrude more than a shorter one. I don't recommend picking too long of a handle because it could get damaged if you need to check the bag.Installation is pretty easy. Most suitcase liners have a zipper so you can expose the Phillips screws holding the two mounting plates. Install the new handle with the old hardware if undamaged, or you can use the included hardware which looks a little different. If you need to use new hardware the measurement from the inner holes to the outer ones, must match.Time will tell how durable the replacement handle is.

This seemed like it was nice quality. I returned it because I ordered a size that wasn’t compatible with my suitcase.

After a lot of searching, I picked this product to repair a broken handle on my 20 year old Tumi roller bag. It worked as advertised. Great solution.

Easy to apply as everything is included which would be nice if on a trip and needed it

The handle on my samsonite hard side suitcase broke. I was not happy as this suitcase still has a lot of life left and I've had it for years. It was the top handle that I always used to lift it into and out of my car. I couldn't see getting by without it. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one (and we all know that isn't cheap). I decided to search and see if I could just replace the handle. The space between the brackets (just the handle itself) was just under 6 inches. Amazon to the rescue.... except my options were 14cm or 15.5cm. 14cm was going to be .5 inch too short but 15.5cm was roughly .2 inch too long. I figured either would work and decided I'd go with the 15.5cm. It arrived today and I've already put it on. It is very slightly more curved but really not that noticeable. I didn't use the side pieces.....I just used the handle and the existing side pieces that were already on my suitcase. (So I didn't actually check to see if the screw holes would line up, I just made sure the handle had the metal sides like the one that broke) I actually only took one screw out of each side and loosened the other one and was able to slide the metal right under and into place. It does feel more sturdy than the handle that originally came on the suitcase so, hopefully, it will last the life of my suitcase.

I have two 15-year old samsonite aspire lite luggage, and one of them needed the handle replaced. The installation is simple and pretty straightforward. It fit perfectly. I tested the handle in a recent trip to NY so there was a lot of abuse to the luggage, meaning, the airports, walking around n train stations and on the streets and it did pretty well. The pictures you see are after the trip. I had to retighten the handle a little bit cause it was a little loose that’s why I rated 4 stars. All in all good for the price
