These eye-shields work very well and are just what's needed post eye surgery.I was given almost identical eye-shields to wear for a few weeks by the hospital following a Vitrectomy and Cataract and Retinal surgery. However, these have a thin adjustable elastic headband which is secured through small holes towards the edge of the shield whereas the hospital equivalent had to be taped in place with a sticky tape so these are much easier to use, fit well, and are reasonably comfortable.Ok, so having the elastic means they're a bit more expensive, but I've found they protect my eye well both at night and also when venturing out and wanting to avoid anything touching my eye. Trying to wear any glasses over the top is tricky, but these are all about stopping anything touching your eye during the recovery period and I feel they're definitely worth the small cost.

Did the job

The actual eye protectors are the same as I was. given by NHS clinic, just with extra holes for the elastic. Would be fully functional except the elastic is too thin to be comfortable and way too short. I am a small person and the elastic length was only just long enough, but the thin elastic does mark my face. So expensive for what you get.

To protect my eye, when sleeping, after surgery.

I bought these to replace the plastic eye cover which needs to be taped onto the face, but the thin elastic is too short and pulls the plastic shield into the eye, it also digs into the skin which is painful. The toggle at the back is another thing which makes it impossible to wear. We need thicker elastic with no toggle - the elastic can be adjusted where it is attached to the shield. As it is this item is rubbish and a waste of money.

Essential after eye surgery etc. This is an eye protector that sops you touching your eye and eliminates transfer of bacteria.

For my eye I had surgery of my eye but very poor product please avoid from this item.

Having read all the reviews I nearly didn’t order this shield but I’m so glad I did as it’s just what I wanted. After cataract surgery I was having to stick a shield over my eye each night with plaster which was most uncomfortable. This shield is identical to the one I was given at the hospital apart from the fact that it’s on a good adjustable length of elastic which holds it in place whilst I sleep.
