This desk is surprisingly sturdy for it being pressed paper and not solid wood. It is functional, fits well in our space, and meets all of our requirements. It is visually pleasing and looks great in our office. Assembly was moderate and went fairly smooth with two people. Better than expected with no delivery damage.

It takes a really long time to put together and its super heavy but so worth it for the money saved! Its spacious with lots of leg room and extremely sturdy. It doesn't wobble at all and feels strong too. It is some kind of particle board but a very strong variety, and doesn't look like it at all. It looks so good, I love it! I was able to assemble it on my own, except lifting the desktop at the end. I got it for my son but I would get it for myself too knowing how nice it is :)

Great desk! Very heavy, and very sturdy. Plenty of room, but it wish it had about 6" more depth. It took me about 4-5 hours for assembly. The key to a successful installation is to to a careful inspection and inventory of all parts before beginning. Next, just take your time. Don't rush through it and you won't have any problems. It's not too difficult for one person to do, but there are one or two places when having a second person would have helped. Also, watch some of the video's here on Amazon for assembly tips. If I had not done so, I would have spent a lot longer than I did in trying to mount the desktop. About the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that a few of the pieces were not labeled. However, by carefully studying the parts and the instructions you should be able to figure it out.

Beautiful and very sturdy. Most importantly easy to put together. Had one piece with a damaged part, contated Sauder and they sent almost overnight to me. My office is the entire set like this and I get many compliments.

It took about 5 hours to put together, though we did take several breaks throughout the assembly (so really I think it was more like 4-ish hours), which I think helped a lot to quell the feelings of being overwhelmed, particularly in the beginning, with how much there was to do.It arrived in a flat, rectangular box that weight 140 lbs.The color is beautiful and the size is ideal for the space I had (I had actually been afraid it would be larger and more intrusive, but it's actually perfect). As you can see, it fits a lot on it, including my desktop computer, a monitor, keyboard, printer, lamp, mouse, work laptop, and other random stuff.No missing pieces and the instructions were really good and clear, with plenty of pictures and even some helpful notes to warn of potential mistakes before you make them.There were some chips to a few of the pieces, though they were very minor except for one that was big enough to have me a little concerned; however, none of the chips showed once the desk was assembled and none of them affected the structure, so in the end it did not matter that they were a little damaged.Really happy with this desk, especially since I got a very good deal on it. Originally, I had spotted it but did not consider it because it was out of my price range at the normal price, but one day it was on sale for enough off that it moved into affordability for me. I took a chance on it and I'm glad I did!

Exactly, what I needed for my sewing room/office. Took a long time to put together for a senior female, but totally doable. Looks great.

I have been looking for a bigger desk for my office for a while and for the price of just the desk on the Sauder website I was able to get the desk and matching file cabinet on Amazon. The furniture was packaged very securely and there was no damage. The only issue I had is that I was missing some of the cam screws for the file cabinet which the company did send to me at no additional cost. This is exactly what I needed for my office and the storage space was what I was looking for also, I also wanted a desk that didn’t have a lot of open space and this delivers in total. It probably took me about 16 hours to put both pieces together because I did it on my own and you have to look at those instructions very well to make sure you are assembling everything correctly. I would definitely make more purchases of this brand in the future. The only reason I gave it a four on the ease of assembly is because you definitely have to have extra set of hands when you go to put the top part of the desk on the base to make sure it’s aligned with all of the cam screws.

The desk has an attractive design, but there are quality control issues. The veneer was chipped and dented in several places straight out of the box, and some holes were not drilled straight. Instructions were useable, however, they weren’t great, and it took some reworking to get the desk put together. Also, there were not enough white caps to cover all of the hardware. If it wasn’t so large to try and return I would have done so due to the issues.
