Does not work on 2015 BMW 428i with plastic drain plug!!!
First off, I have used these valves on all of my cars and they are awesome. It makes changing the oil extremely simple and clean. As my headline says, contrary to the information on the fumoto website, this will not work on a 428i that comes with the plastic drain plug. This valve is far too small for the bore of the drain

High Quality, Hose Nipple Very Short
High quality casting, machine work and a little clip to secure the lever. Like the new 90 degree version, but the nipple is very short and easy to knock the hose off when draining. Makes for a high likelihood of a huge mess, so extra care is suggested. Would be nice to have a long nipple option.

What a nifty gadget!
Installed one of these on both of my cars. Makes oil changes so incredibly easy and much less messy. This is especially true on my 6th gen Camaro. The drain plug on that car is on the side of the oil pan (containing 10 quarts of oil). Upon removing the old drain plug, oil would shoot out almost to the right front tire. Not now! This little angled drain valve directs the oil straight down into the drain pan. Perfect!Recently purchased a portable generator, so decided to install one on it. It fits perfectly and makes oil changes on that unit so much easier. For piece of mind, I highly suggest getting the plastic retainer clip along with these valves. Some come with it, others do not. That clip helps secure the lever to that it doesn't accidentally get bumped - that could trigger an undesired drain.

Great, high quality product!
I purchased one for all of our cars after getting some for the block drains for our truck last year when I flushed the coolant. These are top notch, high quality products that will make changing your oil much easier and less messy, with zero risk to cross threading your drain plug.

Will not fit Honda motor bolted to a deck.
Would not clear deck below motor and even if it did it would be unlikely the o ring would seal cause of recessed spot for crush washer around threaded part of original drain plug.

Excellent idea - doesn't fit 2017 BMW X1
I chose this F109SX Fumoto oil drain valve for my 2017 BMW X1 because the manufacturer recommended it. However, installing it meant preventing the access hatch in the underbody panel from closing securely. Even in the least obstructing position, the oil would have been emptied into the underbody panel, not into a waiting pan.To prevent accidental opening, the valve has a two-part latch. First is a spring clip that prevents the lever from turning. This was very tight and difficult to remove while the valve was not installed. I imagine it would be even more difficult while under the car. The lever itself needed to compress a countering spring to push out of its locking gate and into position for turning to open. Again this was difficult when the valve was not installed.Given these safety measures, I think the valve is unlikely to open accidentally (causing catastrophic engine damage from loss of oil). However, I'm not convinced it would have been easy to work with when I *wanted* to open it. Because of these concerns, I've rated it only two stars.

Not a fit for BMW X5: Too Long!
The product itself is a great idea, well made and of high quality. However, this valve is too long for a BMW X5. It stick out of the skid plate hole a good 1 inch! that is a huge risk of getting it damaged, or snapped off when you're driving on a bump. You can lose your engine! The reason for 3-star instead of 5-star:I ran my car on fumoto website, and it confirmed that I need to get this valve, as the other valves are too long. Yet this one is ALREADY long and practically a huge risk to your engine if it gets snapped off.Returned.
