Well designed, clear instructions
The media could not be loaded. I like this kit as it provides a basis for learning the key elements of controls and interface with electronics. I purchased it for my son so he could learn programming early. It took us some time to put it together but it was all fun. It’s a great kit, parts are very sturdy. I highly recommend it

Great Present for Engineer/Comp Sci Majors
I got this as a present for my boyfriend who is studying engineering right now. He loves the coding application and all the little parts you use to build the car, and a plus side to this kit is that you are able to make your own body for the car. It expressed his creative side, and gave him a nice past time to do on the weekends

Instructionaly challenged
there are no instruction included with the kit. The builder must use instruction videos on line which are challenging at best. Very fast paced and often covering step with there hands. Marking on the packaging is also a challenge since the instruction call outs sometimes do not directly correlate to the markings on the packaging. On the up side it will definitely challenge the builder. I would not recommend this manufacture of this kit.

Not for young children
Be careful if you want to buy this car. The only instructions are on YouTube videos where you watch a Chinese girl putting it together you’re watching over her shoulder. You can get the car together fairly well, but then you have to know computer programming to finish the project. My son and I came to a grinding hall at that point and couldn’t finish. Not for young children. Perhaps a very computer savvy teenager might be able to do it.

Pretty good overall
Let's get one word of warning out of the way right at the start. If you're looking for a kit to help children learn electronics, this is not the one you want. Children will find it prohibitively difficult to complete. Older children (teens) and adults will find it challenging but doable. The quality of the kit is about as expected. It's nothing to write home about, but everything works, everything looks good, and it's what we've come to recognize as fairly standard for these kinds of kits. And once everything is assembled, programmed, and ready to go, the robot car does work and will perform as described and as exepected. The quality of instructions, though, leaves something to be desired. You're given a combination of written and video instructions, each of which on its own seems insufficient to effectively communicate the steps you need to follow. If you use them together, you should be okay. Where you're going to run into trouble, though, is if anything doesn't work quite right, there are no real tips for troubleshooting, so you'll be on your own, which can be quite uncomfortable if you're a beginner trying to use this kit to teach yourself something new. People experienced with electronics (or mechanics, depending on where the trouble occurs) should be able to figure it out, but some extra tips in the instructions would have been welcome.

Kit provided everything you will need to assemble
Video instructions are great. Easy to assemble. I’d you love putting model cars together as a kid. You’ll love this project.

Good one
For the TL;DR crowd, nice kit, good directions (you'll need BOTH the web/pdf instructions and the YouTube videos), all the parts are present, fit well enough and the car operates as it should. So far I am through lesson 2 and it has gone mostly well. That means that I have the car assembled and operating according to program directives. I am fully familiar with the Arduino world, so editing and uploading sketches was no problem. I did find two relatively small issues as you can see in the attached photos. They say the wheel axles must extend at least 25mm, but that guarantees the wheels will fall off. You need to drive in the axles to 21-22mm for there to be sufficient insertion to keep the wheels on. You only need enough sticking out to be able to clamp on the locking collar. The other issue was that the 7 pin cable for the tracking sensor cannot be attached without bending the pins. You'll want to bend them down individually so as to be certain you don't break/crack the circuit board. You'll need both the web or PDF instructions as well as the YouTube videos to get things together properly without a lot of trial and error. There are two conflicts with orientation of parts between the two, but they are irrelevant. I went with the YouTube version, but the PDF would have worked just as well. The assembly and initial check out of the car are sufficiently detailed and complete. The later lessons get pretty basic, leaving the builder to learn more by experience and experimentation.I strongly recommend that you get very familiar with the lesson 2 sketch, as that gives examples of all the basic vehicle moves. You should modify the parameters here and there to get a good understanding of what is happening. Among other things, at least for my build, the left and right are reversed, and in the sketch comments, both car moves are documented as "forward". Spending time modifying and debugging is always a major part of the fun.A good little kit, well priced given the extensive instructions and capabilities of the car. Will make a fine 2nd gift, the first being any one of the Arduino starter kits.If this review was of use to you, please consider clicking "helpful". Thank you.
