Got my kids off their tablet without a fight!
Got my kids off their tablets without a fight!! Great to play catch. It has colorful lights for nighttime playing. Need frequent charging, but I would expect that for the price.

It has never worked. Ran out of time last year to return it.
I bought two other spinning balls but they basically just ran into walls and shattered a few items I've been collecting over the years - then they came out with a cover, and you could charge the balls and hear and sort of watch them run inside the "arena" - beats getting them out from under the sofa constantly and waiting for them to break or break something. . One of them played for 3 days - about every 30 minutes, the other one held it's charge for a day or so - but you couldn't SEE what they were doing inside the arena - the thing was covered in designs. People even more stupid than the ones that made the balls must have designed an area - good idea, poorly executed. Make one side clear so you can watch the colors and actions. So, we finally got out the boomerang ball that we knew would be the most difficult and sure enough, the blue plastic piece covering the switch totally fell off the first time I tried to open it to charge it. I charged it overnight and could tell we needed to do something with the internal "wings" and the propeller. We had to use really small screwdrivers to do what you explained to another customer to do - and nothing happened but the blue plastic cover over the switch fell off again and again and again. Tried using it without the switch cover and nothing happened - recharged it and tried again and nothing happened. I actually bought all three of the different balls available that year to entertain me and my 15 yr old cat. She was game - she liked nothing better to slap the ones when they came out of the arena so that is their permanent home until they make a clear plastic and much taller so they can fly. This one I have no hope for - a way overpriced piece of junk. I'm sure we would have worked through the learning curve - we are a very determined cat and mom combination, but when it charges for hours but never turns on even when you turn on the switch, move the propeller and try to throw it up in the air all because one little piece of plastic won't return to its proper pace and even if it did there is no easy way to get inside the ball and move the propeller. Fed up and finished and the other two weren't particularly cute - just something ready to damage or hit somebody. the lights are cool at first but that gets old after a few minutes. Would appreciate a new cover over the switch and a diagram on where to stick it back on. OH well.

Difficult to operate
My son has a little spaceship-shaped hover drone that he's enjoyed playing with for years. It has sensors, hovers above the hand, safe to play with indoors, it's fun to play with, and used to cost less than $20, so has been a go-to gift for friend's birthdays.(https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Drones-Kids-Adults-Controlled/dp/B082WLF4VR/ref=sr_1_6_sspa?crid=3154S6LRM7Y4N&keywords=Amax%2Bindustrial%2Bgroup%2Bdrone%2Bct-2000&qid=1693936724&sprefix=amax%2Bindustrial%2Bgroup%2Bdrone%2Bct-2000%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-6-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1)However, we deviated from the norm and bought this one for a friend having a Dragonball Z themed party, we thought it looked like a fireball. Also how cool is it to throw something and and have it come back to you?During the after-party we charged the drone so we could all play with it and see what it was like. It's crazy, it just zips around the house so fast and random. I was worried it was going to break something in their house! I couldn't get it to hover, it definitely doesn't boomerang; I wouldn't want to use it in a home and outside it would fly away, so maybe in a field? But that doesn't sound very fun. Overall, it's not what we expected and there's no point in having it...You could throw a tennis ball and essentially have the exact same experience.--- Update ---It seems we didn't know how to operate it correctly. Customer service was responsive, and sent instructions for how to do all the things. Good customer service experience. This from CS:We guess you might have some doubts about how to operate this flying toy. There are some tricks that need take some time to practice, but you will find it fun once you get hang of it.- Press the black switch on the end to turn the flying orb ball on. You may need to gently spin the propeller to align the switch through the bars of the protective cage to access it. When pressed, the LED lights will turn on. When you want the flying orb ball to start flying, shake or firmly tap the ball to activate the propeller. When you want to stop flying orb ball, just grasp it and firmly shake it up and down several times, which will deactivate the propeller. It will also stop flying after it bumps into an object and falls to the ground. When the propeller is not spinning, but the LED lights are on, you can locate the black switch and press it in the same manner for turning it on in order to turn it off.The flying orb ball is sensitive to small deviations in angles when tossed. Before tossing the orb, make sure it is oriented correctly in the UP position, which is indicated by the on button being at the top. When you toss the orb, toss it gently and without too much strength as the motor and propeller will provide movement.- Straight Line Boomerang: Grasp the spinning flying ball at the center with your hand, "up" facing upwards, then throw it from the ground by a 10-20 degree angle with the "up" side facing your body yourself. With some practice, it will fly back to you as it follows its original flight path after the flying ball reaches its maximum height.- Magic Levitation: Levitation is a skill that takes time to master as it requires balancing the orb over your hand while it is flight. After you have turned on the flying orb and it is oriented up, hold it with one hand as the propeller is moving and then place your other hand, palm side up, underneath the orb. You will feel wind from the propeller. Using your top hand to brace the flying orb, gently release it and try to balance it between your two hands until you can eventually follow and balance its movement using only one hand underneath it. With enough practice, levitation will become easier.Important Points: When flying orb ball leaves your hand, the "up" side (with the on switch) is the flight direction of the flying orb ball. By giving the ball different levels of throwing force and and different tossing angles, the ball will have different flight paths. Of course, the speed of the propeller is limited by the motor to avoid it flying vertically too high into the sky.Mastering the flying orb ball takes practice, but is super fun when you get the hang of it. you can scan transparency code on the product packaging box with the amazon shopping app for the demo videos how to operate the flying ball.If you still have any problem how to operate it, could you pls come back to us ? so that we can help you to solve it!Best regards!

Zero battery life
**Edit: I was shocked that this company actually reached out to me and sent me a replacement! Now the battery lasts much longer and it’s a really fun toy! I was so impressed with their customer service! My boss even got one of these for his nephew because I’ve been talking about it so much. It’s a cool concept but ours dies in less than 5 min after fully charging, very disappointing
