repeat customer on this product- this powder is great, i put a tablespoon of it in with my pasta sauces and it gives them. deep rich flavor. great for thickening the sauces as well. the other day i as one tomato short to make my homemade red salsa, and put a spoonful of this in it and no one could tell the difference! Very versatile! you could make a dozen cans of tomato paste with this, so even though it seemed expensive initially, it’s actually a good value as it takes a few months to go thru a tub.

What a great product! I didn't know this existed until my friend mentioned it. It saves having a half-used can of tomato paste in the fridge until it molds, or not having paste when you need it. With this, you always have paste when you need it, and it's good to add to dishes otherwise. The taste is really good, just like tomatoes, and it thickens beautifully. What would be nice is to have the "recipe" to make paste on the container. But I love that it's dry and will las a long time in the pantry.

I used this powder in my baking such as sun dried tomatoes bagel or bread. It add nice color and enriched tomato flavor.

Been using this to create tomato paste for the basis of my sauces and marinates. Taste great it’s good quality.

This was my first time using a tomato powder. I mixed it with water before adding it to the pan. I was impressed by how similar in texture to tomato paste it became.

This is like the secret ingredient I have been missing. Often times you are cooking a dish with a tomato base that you want to punch up the flavor without impacting the consistency. In those cases the trusty tube of tomato paste was your best bet, but that is not even close to what is achievable with tomato powder. I can only say it isn’t tart, it isn’t sweet - it is just a great tomato flavor. The powder is so fine that it almost just disappears on adding it to a liquid, even finer than fine salt. If you ground salt to the consistency of flour, that would be similar to this product.I was making a quick batch of chili the other day (not my traditional all day version) and it just wasn’t right - really it was lacking the flavor that comes with long hours of cooking. On a whim, I threw a scant tablespoon of the tomato powder into it and it was just what the doctor ordered.Btw, if you are like me and love room temperature ketchup on your French fries, then you have to try the homemade ketchup recipe on the label. It will change everything.This is now a staple in my kitchen.

I bought this because i don’t want extra salt & preservatives in my food. This is delicious. Tastes like sweet ripe tomatoes. It has so many uses. I made a mug of tomato soup with this. There are so many more uses. I have bought all kind of products from Hoosier Hill. They have all been high quality.
