Best Italian Hot Sauce you can find. Not too hot, and delicious flavor which compliments so many Italian Dishes. Exceptional on your Pizza. I am addicted. This sauce is a permanent resident in my Italian Kitchen. Arrived intact and in perfect condition. Plus I think the bottles are so lovely. Italy in a bottle. Love it !

After you have tried this, the traditional 'grocery hot sauces' taste like pepper-flavored water! I would put this up there with the Tabasco Smoked Chipotle variety as the best overall hot sauce I have tasted. Full disclosure, I am NOT about the heat when it comes to hot sauce. If you are the type of person who enjoys hot sauce with the name 'reaper', 'nuclear', 'screaming' or 'apocalyptical' in the title ... and you enjoy hot sauce that makes you tear up and grab for water ... this is not for you. This mixes sweetness (it contains balsamic vinegar) and heat (Calabrian peppers) together for what I'd call a mild-sweeter hot sauce.I discovered this at a 5-star resort I was staying at ... the bottle looks very classy and is what first drew my attention. After trying it on an omelet, I was hooked. This makes my homemade chili absolutely pop and you can even use it in pasta sauces or drizzled on french fries for a little sweet zing of flavor. I used to use Frank's Red Hot, Tabasco or other such sauces ... but this is much thicker and the flavor profile is more layered and deep.The only thing I'd change is the size of the bottle. Because of its shape, it really doesn't contain a lot of sauce ... and I use quite a bit of this. I go through a bottle every couple weeks! I would prefer a bigger bottle because it is about 2 - 3x the price of your average grocery store hot sauce ... I have not tasted anything quite like it, so it is worth the extra money to me. It is very similar to Tabasco's Smoked Chipotle sauce, in that it's on the thicker side for a hot sauce ... but it replaces the smoked flavor with a sweeter one.The ingredients seem pretty high quality and there aren't too many artificial flavorings, colors and preservatives here. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? For me, yes. The bottle/packaging are beautiful and make the table look classy ... the taste is fantastic ... the value is average but again, you pay for quality. Who knew Italy could compete with The US and Mexico for a great tasting hot sauce. I am hooked!

This hot sauce initially interested me because I wasn’t used to seeing Italian hot sauce and it really impressed me because it had a very unique flavor that was different from the hot sauces that I was used to using. It has a smokier flavor, compared to a more vinegar based hot sauce and went very well on pizza and on scrambled eggs. Great value for the money.

Flavor is good but not very hot. Maybe somewhere just below mild. I love hot sauce but this has very little heat. Iv heard Mexicans use the term, “That’s white boy hot sauce.” Well that’s the best way to describe it. Yes, I’m a white boy however I do know hot sauce and this is not it. I did also receive there extra hot version but haven’t tried it yet. If you’re looking for a non vinegar tasting sauce with extra mild heat this is a good one. This would pair nicely in a bloody Mary’s or with shrimp cocktail.

This is one of my favorite all purpose hot sauce, it's not over bearing spicy and add a slight umami to anything due to the porcini's in it. Buying in bulk meant It has taken me a while to run through it all, will need to reorder soon.

Amongst hot sauce aficionados, this stuff is pretty widely reviled. Granted, it’s a very mild sauce, but the flavor is truly awful. It’s not only the worst-tasting Calabrian pepper-based hot sauce I’ve ever had, it’s up there as one of the worst-tasting sauces I’ve ever had period.Heat level aside (at the end of the day, flavor is far more important than heat), there is very little Calabrian pepper flavor; the flavor is primarily dominated by the taste of porcini mushroom and balsamic vinegar, two flavors that clash horribly with hot pepper flavor. On top of that, texturally the sauce has little viscosity and somewhat of a gritty finish. I can’t imagine using this as an additive to any dish without being a bit grossed out by the prospect.Don’t be fooled by the stylish and seductive bottle. The only place this belongs is in the trash.

We use this sauce on so many things that are roasted. Nearly everything that comes out of the air fryer gets Firelli's. It is mildly spicy. It is warm, not hot. The flavor is perfect with Italian and Mediterranean dishes. It has really saved some otherwise mediocre dishes that we cooked. It's become harder to find in my local markets. Thank goodness for Amazon!

....Of Mid-tier hot sauces, that is. WHY is it worth a buck or two better than the average hot sauce, you ask? Because instead of plain ol' white vinegar, they use balsamic. Adds a really flavorful tang to the heat; feel free to dump a load on your food, and while it has a bit of a kick, oh my god, the FLAVOR. I bought the three-pack because, once I started using it, I needed it on EVERYTHING. Marvelous product!
