Exactly what I was looking for
Worked great for the shark cake for Jaws birthday theme! Was a big hit at the party. If using box cake mix, it takes 2 boxes. I followed what other reviewer said and did 325° for 75 minutes. That worked perfectly!

Works great
The product does not come with instructions, but I was able to find some online. What I would do different is set my oven at 325 instead of 350. The pan did not stick but I used Pam baking spray and I let the cake sit for 10 minutes before I tipped it over to take it out. The cake was starting to burn a bit at 70 minutes but not done, I left it in another five minutes and the inside was cooked. I use two cake mixes and followed the instructions and two boxes of pudding. I think I could’ve used one box of pudding I then put 6 cups of batter in pan, which was perfect. It seems a little short for that Anna doll I bought but once I cut layers, I’ll be able to tell more. I’ll post pictures and more details after cake is completeUpdate: The cake is sturdy for the doll. After trimming the bottom, the cake came up just over her pelvis area. Used frosting to cover the rest. Cake at the bottom was barely cooked. Definitely should have cooked at a lower temp for longer time.

No instructions… So here’s what I did.
My daughter wanted a Barbie cake for her 5th birthday so I ordered these pans. I used the larger pan and greased it liberally before pouring in two full boxes of cake mix. I baked it at 325 for 78 minutes (I started checking it at 70 minutes). I also made an 8” round to use as a platform underneath in case the dress cake didn’t rise enough to fit the Barbie. However, it looked like it would be big enough without, so I ditched that and strictly used the cake from the dress mold. However, once all was said and done, there was a bit of her hips still uncovered, so I ended up just piping some extra frosting at the top. She loved it and overall, I was really happy with how evenly the cake baked in this mold. I just wish it hadn’t been so much trial and error. Hopefully I can save you that stress!

.No instructions
Overall, the quality of the pans is good. Unlike some other reviews, all pieces were in the package. I like the fact that the rods are included as well as the stands to make them stable when baking. I didn't have an issue with the cake releasing, I generously buttered and floured the pan as well as the rod. After the cake cooled for a while, I went around the cake with a blunt knife a couple of times until I was sure that it would release and it came out clean. I would give this item a five star review except there are no instructions or guidelines whatsoever. I made the 6" cake for a mountain climbing cake for my grandson and I filled it generously because of my experience with a half sphere cake that barely came to the top of the pan. In spite of a cookie sheet and foil I ended up with burned cake at the bottom of the oven. Nothing like the aroma of burnt cake in the house. The cake did come out ok by some small miracle; it was uneven on the top but I trimmed it after the cake cooled using the edge of the pan for a guide before I took it out of the pan. I had read somewhere that a circle of foil resting on the top of the pan while baking kept the top from burning and this worked well. Definitely appreciate reading what other reviewers did as far as the amount of cake batter to use as I will be making a doll cake with the 8" pan in a few months.

Excellent
The media could not be loaded. Worked great! Cooked 2 boxed cake mixes in the larger pan at 325 degrees for 77 minutes and it turned out perfect!

Extra baking time required
I had to bake the smallest pan an 25 extra minutes because the centers would not bake near the rod. Take this into account before baking.

So many uses—dolls, volcanoes, over the hill…!!!
I had one of these twenty years ago and couldn’t find it, so I ordered this one as a replacement. It was perfect for the erupting volcano dinosaur cake, as well as doll dresses, over the hill, and lots of other options. I love that it has multiple sizes and stands up, with a center tube to help it bake more evenly! Better than the name brand.

Made making a doll cake easy
I’m very much an amateur baker, but I used this to make something that I was super proud of!I followed the instructions found in other reviews: double the cake mix recipe; spray well with cooking spray and flour the pan; bake for 74 minutes. (This was for the large cake pan; I haven’t used the small one and I’m not sure what it would be useful for… a Chelsea Barbie sized doll, perhaps?)I’ve done this 3 times and the cake came out perfectly (no sticking to the pan) each time.To make a cake with a full size Barbie, use the big pan plus one layer of a round cake. After baking, I cut this into 3 layers, so in the end I had a 4-layer cake. Not necessary, but it means you get a better frosting to cake ratio. Also, I found that the hole in the middle of the cake pan wasn’t big enough to put my doll through, and it was much easier to enlarge it on shorter layers than on the whole, tall cake. The pieces of the pan come apart, so you can store the two cake pans inside each other.
