I have old wooden windows which have had messy repairs etc so was unable to fit this to them as perfectly as I would usually. It will work much better on if you have pvc/metal/tidy frames but despite that it was fairly easy to apply and works well enough. I was happy to be able to block out most of the light as I am not a heavy sleeper.Edit March 2025: When I had to move out this came off the windows easily and cleanly.

I needed to restrict the light coming through a Velux roof-light. The room is quite large, has a vaulted ceiling and is painted entirely in white, so is very light, even at night (due to the siting of street lights)When the product arrived, I felt it would be too flimsy to be effective. I have to be honest and say that I did not make a great job of trimming the film - my blade was not sharp enough and so there are areas where the film does not meet the window-seal, leaving slivers of glass exposed at the edges, which could let light in. Despite this fact, the room is literally pitch-black, at night and you cannot see your hand in front of your face!I was genuinely surprised (and laughed out loud) at how effective this film is and I would say that you can purchase it with a high-degree of confidence.The only negative is that the English translation of the instructions isn’t perfect but that is extremely ‘picky’ and you probably don’t need the instructions, at all, if you have any D.I.Y skills. Highly rate this product as it does its job very, very well.

Does not stick at all. Followed instructions and there is no adhesion whatsoever. Sadly past my return window but definitely wouldn’t recommend!

I wanted to black off light to the glass over my bedroom doors. I got this and it works perfectly. It's very easy to put up when following instructions. I used a small bit of shower body wash in the water. It TOTALLY blacks out the light so it was worth the buy

Ordered 2 roles. The product is durable, provides an even sheen, and obscures without reducing light transmission.Some factory quality control challenges (with one role) resulted in an unrecoverable rippled effect & that dinted product confidence.

Bought to blackout a small but long window. Went on very easily. I wet the glass with a damp sponge. The backing sheet did tear before I got the whole window done but was easy to rectify. My flatmate is very happy with the result.
