This thing is MASSIVE and super sharp! Sliced up a tritip the first night I had it, like warm butter.

I've used this over the past few months heavily and really rely on it when preparing or cutting large cuts of meat. This glides through and with a little care and sharpening can get very thin slices of meat. Great for carving and cutting up birds, large hams, tri tip roast, you name it! The handle is very comfortable even given the length of the blade and it looks great as well. Seems to be real wood so a little mineral once in a while would do it some good. The little dimples along the blade definitely help in keeping the meat from sticking excessively to the knife. In the future, I want to use this to try and prepare really thin cuts of brisket - it's surely up to the task. I believe it was $42 when bought and on sale for $33 at the time of this review - an absolute bargain.

This is such a great knife. It easily cuts through vegetables, meats and fish. It has a super-sharp edge that, so far, with daily use for well over a month now, shows no signs of dullness. It stays sharp.Now, I don't expect that to be the case forever and know at some point I'll need to sharpen it, for the time being this knife (although longer than what I am used to) works perfectly fine for our family's needs.It is well-balanced and feels natural in my hand. The blade makes easy work of cutting the toughest foods. It speeds things up in the kitchen and makes food prep more fun.This knife is priced fairly and is an excellent value. I would recommend this knife and would buy it again.

This sujihiki slicer is a whopper of a knife! Actually too large to be practical for very much besides cutting watermelons or slicing wide loaves of bread, in my opinion.It arrived very sharp, and is beautifully made. The laminated handle, with its contrasting black and orangish-brown layers, is particularly beautiful. I'd love to get additional knives from this series.
