These are actually the first Razer gaming headphones I've ever bought. I usually use hyper x cloud revolver s or astro A10.. I got these Razers because I noticed the ear cups are not only plush leather but they're a bit smaller so there's less sound travel when listening. The 7.1 surround is no joke on these. If your ears haven't heard 7.1 surround sound before then these headphones will throw your ears for a loop of joy! I play monster hunter rise with these mostly as they distinguish all sounds between different monster pitches, other players fighting from a distance or even palico sounds can all be heard beautifully. I will warn you: these ARE 100% noise cancelation headphones so if you're having any sort of conversation it best be in-game... hope this helps! Oh! And they're rgb lighting options for the price of these headphones are phenomenal!

Make sure you get the USB version. Great for conference calls although I get a lot of comments about the RGB lighting at work but it doesn’t bother me. For the price the sound quality is excellent and the mic is very clear. Used to use Razers for gaming. Prior version had an issue with hitting the mute button accidentally but these version 3’s don’t have that issue. I highly recommend them for the price. Not as good of sound as my Astro TR 40’s but those have a DAC and cost over 4x the price.

For the price very much worth it. Sound quality, mic quality, looks; all great. The mic not being retractable is yanky. The plastic construction isn't too durable. You will eventually drop them and they will eventually break. The headband is susceptible to snapping as this is my second Kraken X pair that breaks the same way. None of my other headsets have broken.If you're like me and tend to be pretty clumsy and drop your headset. Beware.

I bought a $16 headset on Amazon when my cheap gaming headset broke, and that definitely was getting what I paid for. I bought this one instead and it is superior in every way to the one I originally had and had to replace. This is an excellent choice for a gaming headset. Microphone works great, is comfortable to wear, and doesn't 'feel' cheap either. The foam earpieces easily cover your ears and you can barely hear anything outside of them. I've read these break above the earpieces after a lot of use, but if this can last me 3 years, I'd happily buy another to replace it. Adjusts easily if you have a giant head, and has a soft foam pad on the top so you don't get 'headset head' too badly with your hair.

Headband snapped with normal use. Made of plastic, not metal. Never dropped or misused. Unable to get replaced under warranty thus far. Will update this review if warranty is honored, but I'm not hopeful. Overall lower quality headset, but if the warranty were honored, it would be acceptable. Disappointed in the company, and would not recommend.UPDATE: After 1 month of back and forth emails, the headset was finally replaced under warranty. Probably won't buy anything from Razer again, but I want to be fair in saying that they DID ultimately honor the warranty as promised.

I bought this head set November 4th of 2022 and the only damage is some paint transfer that is entirely my fault, other than that they work great sound amazing and cancel out background noise fairly well, the ear cups are completely intact with no tearing which is surprising as I’ve been fairly rough on the headphones.

I bought his more for work though I did test some games first. It connects via USB, handles a single audio output to the headset and does not try to install any software. No dongle to lose and of far better quality than the ones most businesses buy. It does what I need to do and does not over complicate things.This is in comparison to the Nari which I have for gaming at home. Features are much easier to deal with when not dealing with work meetings.
