I live over 250 miles from a legitimate Jewish(not to be confused with kosher)DeliAnd couldn’t getaway for birthday and holiday treats so thought this might work.WRONG!Overly salty and previously frozen (maybe more than once)so ice crystals that had formed and melted leaft watery pockets throughout the thin slices destroying their integrity.Should’ve spent the outrageous shipping costs and ordered from ZabarsNext time…

A person living in a major US city should NOT have to send away to get these basic foods. Such a sad state of being the US is in. We used to be able to get big chunks of these back when I was a child living in Chicago, expensive but well worth it.

Soft, almost flavorless, and sliced so thin it couldn't be removed from the cardboard with turning it into "sable salad."

I'm giving it four stars because I love this fish is very good but I just think it should be more for the price
