are the "used" ones listed just factory refurbs? maybe tops that had zipper replacements?

I actually got a new one and then had to send it back for a replacement due to the straps breaking and they sent me another new. I love this top and customer support was great for me.

About how long does it take to get this top on and off??

I never take the complete top off. I only take the sides and back window off. Taking the doors, sides and back windows off takes me about 10 minutes. I would guess taking the complete top off would take 15-20. You get better each time.

So this comes with the safari top, sides and back window? Fits overdoor surrounds? No equipment should be needed, correct?

This top is complete and needs no extra equipment is needed. Before installing the top, it should be unfolded and placed in a warm location. When the material is cold, it does make it harder to stretch over the frame. Once installed, it is a snug fit and very good quality top.
