The best professional sealer, recommended by amazon seller
I'm an amazon seller, and I use this to seal jewelry boxes in poly bags, to send to the FBA, fulfilled by amazon warehouse.I burned out 2 generic impulse sealers. The impulse sealers take longer to seal and wait. I will never go back to impulse sealers. This sealer works in 1 second. Its incredible. If you are using it to seal poly bags, this is my advice. When I first used it, I set it on high, since this was what I was accustom to on other sealers. The high setting melted the plastic, and I had to use the edge of a pair of scissors to scrape it out of the grooves.I turned it off, and then later came back to finish the job. I admit, I was first disappointed at the melting plastic on the high setting. However, to my surprise, after a second attempt, and only turning on to let it heat up for 5 minutes on the low setting,it didn't melt the plastic off. It was a dream come true! And I only had to press down for 1 second. If you hold down too long on the low setting, it will melt the plastic off the edge. I prefer to cut the edge off. Its less toxic and will keep your machine cleaner by not allowing it to heat too high and melt the plastic material.I am going to try to seal the thicker metallic bags for coffee. I am so impressed with this machine. It feels so secure, sturdy, and I don't think I will be able to burn it out. It also sped up my FBA packaging time a lot. I admit, its extremely fun to seal bags with this machine, I caught myself smiling the whole time. This is the get rich quick Amazon sellers sealer! Love it, a million stars!

Works Excellent
I finally used this Mylar bag sealer and it worked really well. I did some long term food storage and this sealer was excellent. I tried to pull the bag apart where it was sealed, and could not. I let it warm up for about 5 minutes then used. Very pleased with it!

Good value for the price, but wish temperature was more adjustable
This heat sealer is a good value for the money, designed well, and has been durable through multiple uses without any problems in its functioning. It takes about 3-5 minutes to warm-up before use, so isn’t the fastest but I’m okay with that. The one setback it has is that there are only 2 temperature settings, so you can’t adjust heat based on different materials you’re working with.It has been too hot for most Mylar or foil pouches I have. To get around this, I fold a strip of aluminum foil over the part of the pouch I’m heat-sealing, and this has protected the bag from excessive heat melting, stripping, shrinking, or damaging the bag material.

Great sealer. Best I have found for the price.
Like a lot of people, I was interested in putting away some food for long term storage. I researched various methods of doing so, as well as purchasing pre sealed items from various distributors. First thing I discovered was the prices are outrageous in terms of pre packaged dry goods. And the second, is that people can sure come up with creative, complicated ways to complete a simple task. This sealer looked like just the thing I needed to do things myself the easy way, and I was right. It is a very simple operation. Put bag in bucket. Pour food in bag, drop in an oxygen absorber, use this sealer to seal the bag, leave the lid off of the bucket overnight to ensure you have a good seal in the morning, then put the lid on. The savings over the cost of paying someone to do this for you and ship it to you, will cover the cost of this sealer in a very short amount of time. The sealer is very simple with only a high and low setting. It has a very generous cord length which is helpful when you are moving around and filling multiple buckets. This sealer puts a very good seal like at the bottom of most chip bags. Much better than a single line seal. It is of sturdy construction and the cord is also pretty heavy duty. Certain to last many years. It can also be used for re sealing any mylar bags such as potato chip bags etc allowing you to put a factory like seal on used products and keeping food fresh longer and saving money.A very useful product, giving a quality, factory seal you can be confident in. Easy to use. Hi setting seals heavy duty bags, and Low does a great job resealing any thin things like chip bags.

This thing works great
I had read both positive and negative reviews for this bag sealer, and decided to order one. I was hoping it simply worked and made my life easier...and it certainly did. First of all, it came well packaged with molded foam so nothing was bent. Then the instructions were very simple to follow-a big plus. The best part was that I was able to handle filling and sealing about 20 mylar bags in one evening without any help (since my wife was recovering from dental surgery). I can't imagine doing this with an iron or some other, less convenient tool. After about two days, the oxy-absorbers I had put in the bags had pulled out enough oxygen to cause the bags to resemble a vacumn seal look. I figure the stuff inside is good to go for years now and stored it away. Packing away food for any future emergency is a lot cheaper this way when compared with buying prepackaged stuff. I have some of that too, for variety, but it would cost a fortune to buy nothing but prepackaged and prepared meals to last for any length of time. This method is great for the staples like rice, beans, oatmeal, etc. I also took a hint from another review I had read and bought a couple of steel trash cans with lids to store this stuff in. It is a lot easier than using 5 gallon buckets, you can just keep tossing the bags in and the metal cans will likely keep any potential critters out.
