Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz Model Humbucker Pickup - Zebra Neck

The media could not be loaded. Classic warm sound for my custom made telecaster. Absolutely no ground noise, easy to install and positioned. Sounds excellent.

I used this to upgrade the pickup in a Goldtone Electric Banjo, which is a very odd use, I have to admit. This is a very clear, articulate pickup and it improved the "depth" of the tone on the banjo (yeah, banjos aren't known for depth of tone, this pickup really helped). Seymour Duncan calls this a "jazz" pickup, which isn't really right, it's a general-purpose, very clear, very articulate pickup. A "rounder" sounding pickup would actually be better if you want that classic jazz guitar sound.

Lovely on the neck. Surprised how trebly it sounded. Most of my neck pickups sound bassy but not this one. Excellent for classic rock rhythm playing. Also rolling down the tone gives you a pleasant jazz tone. Very versatile neck pickup. Paired with a Custom 5 SH-14.

As an EMG user, I had a chance to see what these Seymour Duncans were all about. I was at guitar center and picked up a ESP/LTD EC 1000 Koa that had this pickup in theneck. I was amazed by the sound and the clarity both clean and dirty. It was VERY tough not to buy it, so instead I just ordered the pickups. I just last night installed these into my own ESP LTD EC401fm. I can't tell you how awesome they sound. Crisp, clear, powerful, bluesy, you name it... I have EMG's in all my other guitars. Het Set combo, 85/81, 81/81 and 81/60. I think I have found my go to guitar with these bad boys .. I paired this up with the Seymour Duncan SH-14 Custom 5 in the bridge.

There is simply no comparison. Duncan Designed pickups are total garbage compared to these. Stop wasting money on pedals & swap out your pickups, start with good tone & you discover what guitar pedals are actually supposed to do to your tone.
