This hose reel is an excellent product. I had a little difficulty assembling it, but it installed relatively easily. I have been impressed so far in how it functions. The hose fits well and the reel is sturdy.

Liked: Top shelf, handy, which most hose reels don't have. Seems robust though only time will tell...Disliked: Tricky to assemble. Handle is fixed and rubber coated so there is a lot of friction when turning. I added a loose sleeve over it - short piece of plastic pipe, slightly bigger internal diameter than the handle width - held in place with a cable tie, to overcome this bad design feature.

The top shelf did NOT slip on like the directions stated. I had to literally shave off each side of the back to make it fit. I used a razor knife and small hammer to shave the plastic off. Then with the help of a friend we each took a side and lined it up and used a rubber mallet to instal the top shelf. It looks great now. My neighbor loved it and went to Menards and got one just like it for $10 less. He had to use my top shelf trick also. If you are handy it will work.
