I put together a sewing kit for my daughter, and bought this for pins and small items. It's very cute, with good graphics, and seems well made and sturdy. A little pricey for what it is, but it goes well with the larger Simplicity tin. My daughter loves it.

This magnetic box will replace an old plastic box for my many sewing needles and I'm so glad to have it! The description does not say it is hinged and I was delighted to find that it IS! and wanted to post photos to show this as it was something I wondered about since I could not tell for sure from the listed photos. Either way I wanted it and it truly keeps my needles from falling out with the flat magnet attached on the bottom of the interior.

I bought this for storing the needles I use for making pine needle baskets. They are large, heavy needles and this tin does the job! I travel a lot with my tools and this definitely feels like it will hold up well to the abuse of being tossed in a bag over and over again. The magnet is SO MUCH better than I expected. It holds these needles really well (see my picture) . Not too strong, but not too weak either. I also store my scraper blades that I use when making baskets out of reeds. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this. I might even buy another to use with my needlework travel bag.
