Ideal for powering Starlink Gen 3 Router from 12V DC.
This DC-DC converter works perfectly to power my Starlink Gen3 Router in our RV. This converter eliminates the necessity of running the RV inverter full time. It is a much more efficient solution and saves RV house battery power.

perfect for PoE networking in a RV
got this guy for powering mikrotik routers for my RV's network. 56v is spec for 802.3af/at/bt, so this works perfect for things like the hEX S or RB5009 which have PoE output. no more having to rely on an AC wall warts and can power straight off the battery without an inverter! it's also got more than enough output to fully power every single port on the RB5009UPr+S+IN (150W) so you can go nuts with this assuming your 12v input circuit can supply the juice :p (12V 14A at full tilt btw)used some wago lever nuts and wired it into my auxiliary DC power circuit. it has screw holes to mount onto the wall. the big heatsink it's encased in ensures it doesn't get too warm even with a lot of PoE output going on.

Incredibly electrically noisy. Can't use this in my toy hauler for Starlink Dishy V3.
This thing is incredibly electrically noisy. It induces so much electrical noise into the rest of the system that it's literally audible, and causes LEDs to flicker. After seeing other positive Amazon reviews on this item, I had high hopes that it would work well to power my Starlink Dishy V3 while off grid.I ordered it and hadn't had time to install it, but knowing that today was the last day I had to test the item before it would no longer be returnable, I took the time to wire it up and install it. I could not believe how noisy this thing is. It causes the LEDs in my toy hauler to flicker, and creates an audible whine. Completely unacceptable for my use case. I'm not sure how others aren't having similar issues. It might be possible to install a capacitor to shunt some of that noise out, but for the time and effort, I'd rather not screw around with that. Especially since I don't have time before the return window closes.Maybe I just got a bad unit. Either way, I'm returning it. I'll just spend a little extra money and buy a Meanwell.Buy once, cry once. This one isn't worth cheaping out on.

Perfect for 12V power to starlink
Perfect, just add the barrel connector and get a flat mount for the dish and it works perfectly for on the go in the van. Bought an extra one just in case to have on the road ready to go if it fails.

Works as advertised
Got this to run my starlink from 12v and worked great. I didn't need a capacitor. I just needed to make sure I used the closest outlet to the battery as it needed more juice and my back 12v was not putting out enough power.

Produces very noisy 56VDC with an AC component.
AC component creates noise and must be filtered.

Works great for a Starlink Gen 2 conversion
My Starlink failed after two years. Starlink sent me another kit (yes, I told them I was running on a 12v conversion). I am not sure what caused the failure, so I went ahead and just replaced my 48v buck converter with this 56v (future proofing) and it is working well. I did add a capacitor before the PoE injector.

Using this and a 12V battery to back up my PoE cabinet.
I've had this a couple of weeks and it's not blown. I own several varieties of these and have only had one go bad in several years, but I can't speak for this one's longevity just yet.I'm using this and a simple 12V battery backup to keep my PoE devices running for several hours when grid AC power goes down.I'm not running it fully maxed out, It's transmitting a pretty stable 30-50W out to my PoE devices and it doesn't hiccup at all if I disconnect the AC battery charger, so I'm happy with that.
