This Crayola Adult marker set it THE set to get with great color selection and performance.
Hi All.The Crayola 40-piece fine line markers are a very nice set of markers indeed. First, I want to say that I've purchased other water-based ink markers, and I've NEVER used a juicier set. Not 1 of the markers was dry, or even going dry. Now, you need to know that I have never really liked water-based ink markers, but this set was so incredibly easy to use, and it layed color down beautifully. I have become a water-based ink marker lover.I have included a page so you can see how nice the colors look. You should notice, that the streaks are very minimal. Granted that the spaces in this page aren't super big, but even the spaces on the hearts are big enough that if you aren't familiar with water-based ink markers, you could get some streaks that look quite bad.The color selection in this set is great. Now, 40 markers may not seem like a big set, but the shades that are included are the ones that tend to be used more. I like this fact. I always feel like I'm "wasting" my money by not using certain colors. I'm not worried about that at all with this set. It contains 2-grays, 4-browns, 5-pinks, 5-greens, 2-teal, 6 blues, 3-purples, 2-yellows, 5-oranges, and 2-reds. It also has 1-wine, 1-gold-ish, 1-black, and a shade they call "Sandy Tan" that might qualify as a flesh tone. I know that the regular, yellow box set does not include the "Sandy Tan". That is one of the big reasons I chose the Adult Coloring Fine Line set.I really like the tip shape and size. There are other markers that have a "standard" bullet shaped tip, but this one is smaller. It was easy to get into the small areas, which is a necessity for me. My favorite designs to color are the smaller spaced style, and even the "tangled" style. So, if you like the Crayola brand, and are wanting a good set of water-based ink markers, with a very good color selection, I suggest that you purchase this set.Let me know whether you found this review helpful or not.Thanx, MindyThey blend well. I did some simple shading on this page. You should be able to see that I used a base color, and then added a darker shade around the edges and across the center line. The darker shade blended into the lighter shade and made the little fronds look dimensional. This is an easy techique, but it does not always look good with water-based ink markers. These Crayola Fine Line markers were definitely up to this challenge. So, if you like to use water-based ink markers, this set is a very good choice. It is also a less expensive set. I do believe that it has the better color selection, if you are comparing

Review for Crayola Fine Line MarkersCrayola Fine Line Markers are absolutely fantastic! They’ve quickly become a favorite in our household for everything from school projects to adult coloring books. The fine tips allow for incredible precision, making them perfect for detailed work like outlines, intricate designs, or handwriting. The color selection is vibrant and varied, and the markers lay down smooth, even lines without any streaking. They also don’t bleed through most papers, which is a huge plus for me. I’ve been impressed by how long they last, even with frequent use.Another thing I appreciate is how easy they are to grip, even for smaller hands, making them great for kids and adults alike. If you’re looking for high-quality markers that are versatile and dependable, Crayola Fine Line Markers are a must-have!

Actual Colors Are Much Darker
Overall, these are good markers and your standard Crayola quality. However, almost every color is different from the shade of the cap/swatch on the back of the box. I know most coloring tools are guilty of this, but this particular set is especially egregious. Basically every color is much darker in actual usage than the cap color/box swatch; this is particularly noticeable when you actually color with them (versus writing or a single line). Highly recommend creating your own swatch sheet that shows the true color when used as a single line and a colored area. The other nitpick I have is that all the tips tend to "flake"/bunch up as you're using them, especially when you are coloring over multiple times. It gets in the way of a smooth coloring surface and you do get some streaks. Otherwise, for the price point and assortment of colors, pretty good. Just don't expect AMAZING quality.

Great for adult coloring books!
These markers are excelled for adult coloring books. They are very durable, blend well and it’s an overall great value for the money. I love that they function perfectly for their intended purpose which is to help with very detailed adult coloring book pages so the tips are not thick. Good durability as you would expect from the high quality Crayola products are known for.

Best coloring markers and a great price
They are the best markers I’ve used for coloring. Most markers that look fancy (like the dual tipped) suck, and the tips wear out fast. These are the way to go

Average but that's OK!
Had a few jump scares while using for the first time as a handful of the colors appeared different than its cap color (such as the reds/pinks/purple). The tip of the markers are slightly frayed causing messy looking streaks and some discoloration where it bled from the shedding fringe of the tip. I'll keep using, but they are incredibly average (and a bit deceitful). They work and there are a lot of colors, they're vibrant, and they are nicely saturated lol.
