Q: Will these raise my heels just slightly to keep the back from rubbing?

Maybe slightly but they do protect the heel...only thing ...after my first review I tried the second pair...they dont stay stuck..meaning after one wear the next day they dont stick anymore ...super disappointed

Q: I only see these used in high heels. Will it effectively work with dress shoes that are flats?

I bought them specifically for a pair of flats that were just a bit to big. They fixed my problem and it's actually the most comfortable pair of dress shoes I own.

Q: How do they work in boots?

Yes, it does. But be aware of not sticking it to fur cover.

Q: Do these work with nylons?

No they would slip out in fact they slip reguardless since it has a thin nylon like material on the insert itself. There is no grip whatsoever
