Excellent versatile workhorse of a pack
I’ve taken this pack on probably 2-3 dozen hikes in the last couple of months including Blue Ridge, Colorado and Kilimanjaro as well as dozens of stair climbs with added weight. The pack performs really well in all conditions. It’s easy to adjust and has a very comfortable fit that breathes really well. Hip pockets are well positioned and roomy enough for a lot of small essentials. Weight is also very light even in comparison to ultralight competitors. Material dries pretty quickly. With side and front mesh pockets you have a lot of options for extra storage. Trekking poles fit very comfortably in sides. It can easily handle 35 lbs which is as far as I pushed it. Be sure to order the Osprey bladders as the fit is narrow and likely won’t work for other brands. The phone holder on the right shoulder is perfect for a regular iPhone but probably not anything bigger, however I found that something about that pocket that causes my screen to turn on, draining battery and sometimes forcing me to use my PIN which is unfortunate as it’s a perfect spot for a phone.

Great fitting pack!
I wanted a large day pack for longer hikes and mountain climbing where I need extra clothing and water. This pack has plenty of space and is very comfortable. All the features I love about my larger Osprey are here. I was able to adjust it easily to fit. I highly recommend.

Great size!
The perfect size for what I'm looking to do, fits great love it! Been using a similar but smaller osprey product for the last 8 years.

Best bag and company
Love osprey bags. They are rock solid and very well made. I use these bags in very harsh conditions and they handle it without problems. Osprey even replaced my last bag free after it was deemed unrepairable. I ordered another one anyways because I wanted to support them and their great customer service. Good fit. Good padding. Great bag all around.

First hiking backpack - pretty neat
I recently purchased the Talon 33 backpack and have been trying out all the different features. I like that there is a slot to put a hydration bladder in. It's quite tight, and a little difficult to put in a full bladder with a bunch of gear inside. I've found helpful is to put your full bladder in FIRST before putting your gear, etc. into your pack. The Talon 33 also has "stow on the go" dual loops that you can put your hiking poles it. While useful, I found the dual loops a bit difficult to easily taking your poles in and out. My poles have some metal nobs and some plastic handles that get caught in the dual loops. So while I am able to take my poles in and out, it does require a little shimmying to release the poles out, for example. The Talon 33 is also a top loading backpack, that has a drawstring on the side and the little loop on the reverse side that you pull to open and close. I was a little confused at first on how to open and close quickly (as I wasn't doing it right), but I watched a few videos online on how to open and close. Overall, a pretty good first backpack that took a bit of time for me to learn how set myself up for hiking success.

New Favorite Daypack
I chose this because I wanted a larger daypack that also had more rigid hip support. I usually hike with family and help carry extra gear on shorter day hikes so this is the perfect size and support for this. Excellent construction, fit and features.

backpack with a couple of things to consider
there’s definitely some room for improvement for such a price.Pros:- comfortable, though it takes some adjusting and getting used to- the back frame is flexible but firm enough to carry the load for up to 10kg- fits plane carry on requirements if not overstuffed (small/medium size)- small when not loaded but can expand quite nicely- top lid for 30l and it’s is very roomy.- side mech pockets are very handy- side hip pockets are big enough to fit iPhone13 max- huge front mech pocket- lots of attachment options- very light- osprey.Cons:- top load only, without bottom access. You have to be aware of the order by which things are organized- no rain cover, no good place to put it either (I had one from an old 40l backpack and ended up stuffing it to the water system pocket)- hip stripes are too narrow in the front and end up rubbing the skinUPD: the pack is not that comfortable after all, I guess it’s the s/m sizing that doesn’t fit me.
