For crimping lightweight bootlace ferrrules this tool does a great job. My previous tool was one of the multi-anvil "plier" style ones with multiple slots for different sizes, and was more time consuming and fiddly to use as well as bulky, and the ferrules could jam into the anvil.So I recently had a big number of 1.5mm flex cables to bootlace. This tool was very quick, no messing about and it made a perfect job. I have not tried other sizes yet.Note: Anyone interested in crimping barrel-connectors for jointing cables, ring or spade terminations, (insulated or uninstalled) then this is the wrong tool for the job! -(You would need a more powerful and correctly sized ratchet crimper). This tool will crimp lightweight bootlace ferrules, and it does it very well

Surprisingly quality feel with loads of ferrules!Yet to use in anger but a few practice crimps to get the compression right makes a lovely neat termination.Handle is slightly silicon-y but feels hard enough to stand a bit of abuse, and the organiser tray for the ferrules is a nice touch. Ratcheting action is solid with a satisfying click at each step.Interesting that all the bumf is in German - came with a 10% discount but I don't know what for, because that too is in German!Overall very happy and will be keeping an eye out for more Baurix kit.

The crimping pliers feels great and the final shape of the ferule is almost round due to the hexagonal dice. Handle material is of a good quality, feels comfortable in your hands giving you a nice feeling when using. It operates smooth and I had no problem using one hand to do this. Five stars!Akura wire stripper is pretty good also. Adjusted at minimum strength, removes the insulation from a 0.75 sqmm wire without cutting the conductor's wire; same for a 2.5 sqmm wire. It makes a straight cut on the insulation, but of course it's new. It has a an adjustment for the strength; set this to 50% and it started removing a lot of wires from conductor; I assume it can compensate the wear due intensive using quite good. It has on issue and that is related to the part which adjust the length of the piece of insulation you want to remove: it's changing the setting each time you use the tool, doesn't matter of the size of the wire used. For this only four stars!Overall impression: Good value for the money and makes a great option if you need both tools and some assortment of ferrules! Though, if you are looking just for a crimping tool buy just the the crimping tool as it is available also separate.

Good crimping set, nice and secure crimping on the cable & the adjustability give you the versatility to ensure a good crimp is achieved.

I brought this the other day as needed a crimp set & tool. I liked the idea of not having to figure out which crimp size to go for, so the circular crimp feature was very attractive. The force adjustment knob is really easy to use. The kit comes with a really good selection of crimps from 0.5mm to 10mm in various quantities. I am looking forward to buying Baurixs other crimp sets when I need some different ferrules.I would highly recommend this product to anyone loking for a good bootlace crimp & ferrule set.

Very good quality at an affordable price

I’ve been using this set for a couple of months now and am really impressed. It’s the first crimp and ferrule set I’ve used and honestly didn’t know what I’ve been missing. The crimp tool is good to handle and the kit makes wiring that whole lot better.
