Nice device. Beautiful interface.
I love this device. It's been working great. It's a little complicated but that's to be expected. It does a lot. I'll be using this for many years. Great purchase!!!

Great device with a few minor flaws, used by all the Pros
The Maschine+ has ups and downs, but overall it's a wonderful device. It can be connected to a computer and used with a DAW for loop based saw work or it can be used independently, as designed, and be the center stage of your home hardware and instruments studio. That's how I use it. It took me a few days to adjust to loop based development, but Native Instruments has a YouTube series called "Maschine Plus Orientation" that is a series of short videos that show you how to do the majority of what the device can do and other YouTubers took it upon themselves to fill in the gaps. Native also heavily sponsors pros to come to special locations with lots of instruments available to do Maschine Mk3/+ sessions to teach you even more about using it. Their YouTube presence is appreciated and impressive. The downsides are this:-All tracks play at the same time, one track per group w/8 groups total. That means you have to mute groups to bring in a sound outside of a typical loop. It also means every track is eating up CPU time-large projects with lots of songs in a single project will cause the maschine to run into CPU limitations. It's powered by a quad core Intel Atom, so it's not overly powerful. No hardware daw has a good CPU, so this is a con, but a universal con and kinda negates itself as a con-no built in battery, BUT you can get a USB-C PD to DC15V cable and power it from a USB-C PD capable battery bank, which are readily available for $50-$150. I can run my Maschine for days to weeks on my Anker battery bank. It has a low power draw-No built in speakers. Get headphones or a Bluetooth adapter if you wanna travel with it. I use headphones to prevent latency, but I take a Bluetooth adapter and JBL portable speaker when I travel back to my parents to I can play music with my dying father who can play guitar.-You can't load external Vsts. You're limited to the Kontakt plugins Native gives you, which are plentiful to be fair, but still limiting.Pros:There's so many pros that I don't know where to start. Point is that it can connect to any instrument or device and has native drivers for most USB devices. I've never found a device it can't connect to.All the Pros have the maschine MK3 or maschine+ and there's good reason for that. It excels at EDM, chill music, hip hop, and more.

Maschine Plus takes the thrown
This is the most incredible Outboard standalone Full production Groove Box,Sequencer,Sampler I’ve ever used. I’m blown away at what this thing can do and how fast the learning curve is. I’ve Produced Music for over 20 years and this is takes them all including Akai MPC... The entire Native Instruments platform is becoming the production standard and its with the times... MPC is still great but the Maschine has really pulled away... It’s more than beat pads and some recoil which makes the MPC still better for finger drumming but Maschine has a hybrid type pad which is perfect for all around production and they have amazing velocity and sensitivity with larger and slightly more expressive pads, they are better for finger drumming than Novations Launchpad and Better than Akai MPC for playing keys and Chords... They are overall the best pads since they are unbelievably close to MPC quality for drumming and a bit more sensitive and expressive than the Launchpads. I own a launchpad X and have owned several Akai MPC and give the Maschine+ the absolute top spot now that they added the standalone version and the massive displays has a built in interface and operates as a master controller with that it also has expandable storage, and the next update will include compatibility with external SSDs... The Maschine+ also runs on its own Operating system based on Linux embedded Kernel called Maschine OS and this gives it WiFi, Bluetooth, Ableton Link, Network MIDI, and the onboard sample editor is far superior than any of the competitors. It’s an all around device that improves and speeds up the workflow in a huge way.
