Perfect operating temperature!
These thermostats are awesome. Great quality built in comparison to motor craft stats. I am seeing coolant temps of: 188 at idle 190-192 on the highway and about 194-196 during a hard throttle burst - all in 105 degree ambient air temperature.Thanks for another great product Mishimoto!

The price seemed a little high for me, but went ahead and got them. I have no issues, good quality, put them in and the truck has been running about 8° cooler. I'm very happy with that.

DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd give it no stars if possible. Never even came close to working. Low temps, engine trouble light, etc. AND I don't believe the story of how you drive or what your using your truck for. S stat is suppose to open at a given temp. These are only rated for slightly below stock and should have worked that way. My bigger issue is with Mishimoto customer "non" service! Take them out and send back then we will send new ones. RIGHT, my truck is supposed to sit until you get around to sending new ones. I don't know about everyone else but do use my truck so when something comes out something else goes in at the same time. Put stock ones in and BAM, no problem! Mishimoto said they wouldn't return my wasted money so these worthless pieces of S*** became target practice. Save your money. They're JUNK!!!!!!!!

PREPARE FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!
Once you install these in your truck you will no longer be able to drive it normally without an engine light. After 1 hour of driving in 95 degree weather the coolant only got to 165 degrees which throws a engine fault code that reads "thermostat malfunction". These thermostats to not allow the motor to ever get up to operating temperature. The only time these worked was while I was towing a 11,000 pound camper to the beach. Even at 11,000 pounds the coolant temp only reached 190. I also tow a 5,000lb loaded 20ft enclosed trailer every weekend. Even towing the enclosed trailer a engine light comes on due to not working the motor extra hard. I would not reccomend these unless all you ever do with your truck is pull over 8,000.

Item Either was faulty, trows a check engine light…. with code for thermostat malfunction.
Fitted good, but Faulty. i have tried to contact Mishimoto, and for a $50 part i have to fill up paper work, Take thermostat out, take pictures… pay for shipping… you kidding me ??? a bunch of time wasted for a faulty Part! i’ll rather buy a Motorcraft part that is $40 and get the job done…

DONT USE WITH ALUMINUM RADIATOR, RUNS TOO COLD!
Works far too well when paired with aluminum radiator.The pair works well when its above 85 degree Fahrenheit outside but in cold weather these trucks will throw a check engine light as these dont allow rhe engine to warm up quickly enough. Below 55 degrees outside and its virtually impossible to get it up to operating temp, with normal driving it wont surpass 170 degrees even after an hr or more of heaving driving.If you have an aluminum radiator, DONT GET THESE or your truck will run cold which is not good for a diesel engine!
