Small Dunlop Stubby Jazz-Style Guitar Picks in 2.0 mm thickness
Picks are made out of various materials including wood, acrylic, metal, and plastic, and will affect guitar tone.Guitar string windings, materials, and guages will also influence tone. These are the smaller Dunlop Stubby 2.0 jazz guitar picks made out of a composite called Lexan. Though these are technically jazz picks they are not limited to jazz guitar playing. These are easy to grip and are great, reliable, sturdy picks. The surface is different than say a Fender flat pick. I play electric and acoustic 6 and 12-string guitar, and the sonic range, volume, and clarity makes the Dunlop 2.0 a versatile choice for finger style, strumming, and harmonics with bright but not tinny tones. Again, these are the smaller Dunlop Stubby 2.0's (medium). The 1.0 mm smalls will usually be clear or red. The 3.0 mm for me are way too thick. There are many guitar picks choices, and preferences are personal based on your guitar playing style. If you are just learning guitar and are uncertain which guitar pick to buy (it can be confusing), you may want to compare guitar picks at your local music store, and then decide which package to purchase; some music stores may not stock these).

My favorite guitar picks. I can’t find them anywhere else

Pretty nice
The media could not be loaded. No strong feelings about them. They look alright and are comfortable, I guess. No real effect on the sound compared to a normal pick. I do like how thick they are after playing with them for a few months, and none have broken. It’s also nice that it isn’t overly big, like normal picks. Probably gonna get some more in case they stop selling these.

Awesome Picks. Will instantly improve your playing.
I'd used one of these picks probably 15 years or more ago, but had lost it. So I bought them here. I got them yesterday and I couldn't put my guitar down. As soon as I started playing with one of these picks, my speed and clarity were immediately and noticeably better. If you need your fingers to be way far away from the strings when you play, this pick is probably not for you. But if you like to feel like you're playing WITH your fingers, but like using a pick to protect your digits, this is great. Since the thing is so small, it almost feels like you're playing with the back of your fingernail, but of course you're not. That allows you to use a touch that is more natural and dynamic. And, contrary to what you might expect, you can actually strum pretty well with this pick too. I highly recommend that anyone who is only used to using "standard size" and average thickness picks, try these out. At $3, what do you have to lose. And because a 3.0mm pick is super-thick, this package of 6 will probably be all you'll need for the rest of your life!

Pretty good, a little slick
I like the size and shape, and personal preference of color (purple). My only issue was how slick they feel in my hand, but I roughed them up a bit to add grip and they play great. They seem to hold up pretty well but I’ve only used them for a couple of weeks, so hopefully they last a while, I don’t play lightly but I don’t play too harshly either.

Great
Enjoy this thicker version on the jazz 3 pick, easier to hold with the same comfort of the normal jazz 3 picks.

Strats and lil stubbies!!
I don't know why, but this size stubby is kind of hard to find and they're a bit expensive. I also have a bunch of the big stubbies, which are a bit cheaper and easier to come by, but I prefer these. But what can I say? These are the only pics I'm comfortable playing with. I can use any hard pic, but these are in a class by themselves. Their super durable. I have had one of these I've been playing malmsteen with for about 17 years, and the only wear you notice is that the tip isn't a sharp point; but it probably only lost about a fraction of a millimeter. These pics are unlike any others, as far as I'm concerned, because they taper from their 3mm thickness gradually down to a point. The only other picks I could use besides these-a Dunlop jazz three, which I think Yngwie uses-don't have any taper to them. The only way I can describe the effect is that the stubbies, because they taper, glide over the strings and facilitate fast sweeps and pizzicato; whereas the jazz threes feel like the hangup on the strings to me.hopefully that is helpful to people who aren't familiar with these pics; who are familiar with traditional uniform thickness pics.but anybody who has played with stubbies before will know what I'm talking about. As a sidenote, because I'm so used to the pic I've been using for years, when I bought these new ones, I took a nail file and shaved the sharp point down maybe a hundred microns. Kinda just like debuting it. I don't like sharp points on picks. Great for tone, but feels gritty to me. Anyone else will just love them the way they are I'm sure.

Pickers will be picky.
Honestly, they are picks. Personally my favorites. Just sad guitar places don't carry these. These are fat, hard, smooth, jazz styled picks.Once I tried out jazz styled picks... No turning back. Traditional picks are uncomfortable for me. Flappy and awkward feeling.Gonna bash the black 1mm picks you may be able to still find... They are scratchy. Yep, Jim Dunlap... Pickers are picky. Avoid those... Shhh! The clear 1mm are smoother, but still scratchy for me.1.5 to 3mm, clear to darkening purples, great picks.I enjoy feeling the strings, hence the hardness. Made smooth to avoid unintentional scratching. Small, jazz style, for comfort....As far as size... I personally choose the 3mm as it fits my thumb, in the way of pinch harmonics.I can cleanly strum or noisily strum. Drill in tremolo picking cleanly or trem in harmonics. (Index finger nail on up picking.)It is all about your fit. Always loved this line of picks. Depends on styles, wants, and size.Always suggest trying out different picks. These are the ones I pick to stick width. (See what I fid there?) Ha ha.Highly suggest this line of picks. Size depends on style, to put it simply.
