Get something else, not worth all the confusion and lack of instruction
I bought this to help hold open a flip up door to a hidden storage area. I'm pretty novice when doing home improvements but these hinges were a whole other level of what the &*(*. There is no way it will hold up the light weight plastic board I'm using because of how the screw attaches to the wall connector. It swings so it doesn't matter how tight the adjustment areas are if the screw area swings how it wants. Maybe I am an idiot, I will own up to that, but the instructions were not at all helpful. I've put this project off for 6 months because when I got the hinges they were so confusing I just gave up. I had the energy to finish this today and the hinges are a huge fail. This item is unnecessarily complicated. Please do your research and buy something, perhaps made in America with a better instruction guide and someone who can help you understand the dang thing.

These support hinges really repaired some worn out originals that allowed a lid on a hope chest to fall each time it was opened.

There are detailed install measurements but no text so put on your thinking cap to work out exactly how to.

Confusing, missing items

Poor instructions
The assembly instructions consist of blurry photos with dimensions (no step by step directions or clear diagrams and certain views/dimensions that are important are missing). Also, both hinges face the same direction rather than opposite directions to go on opposite sides of the lid. I still got them to work on opposite sides despite being the same, but its not ideal.

Exactly as Described
Okay, these were way too big for my project. But, that is my fault. I should have paid better attention to the size. The quality is very good. I actually was able to give to someone for their project. They were thrilled. If you need large hinges, I would recommend these.
