I use the essence before I apply my serum and face cream. I love the way it smells and how it makes my skin feel.

So this is definitely an expensive item - but that seems to be the way for certain types of brands. At least this 111SKIN HARLEY ST. LONDON Antioxidant Energising Essence is a big bottle so there's that. As a background, I'm a little over 40 and now have super-dry skin per my facialist ( in the past I was normal to oily combo skin Tzone) How fast it changes when you grow old boohoo. So what do I think of the 111SKIN HARLEY ST. LONDON Antioxidant Energising Essence? Well this is step 3 of 5/6 in my routine. I was going to say it's like water but obviously it's "slightly" thicker than water, barely. It's definitely liquid so I used a cotton round for this. It feels nice and refreshing on my skin and there is a very light scent. I'm OK with a super light scent and NOT musky so that's fine with me. I'm not too good in describing scents so all I can say is it's NOT musky or heavy. After two days and nights of uses have not experienced any breakouts. Since I've recently been taking care of my skin with a routine now and almost regular facials I can't say if this 111SKIN HARLEY ST. LONDON Antioxidant Energising Essence is doing something but I can say that my skin isn't worse off. It is maintaining whatever care I've done to it. Would I spend $100 on this again? Hard to say.... It's definitely expensive so if I use a different/cheaper brand and that other brand does me dirty then yes I would go back to this 111SKIN HARLEY ST. LONDON Antioxidant Energising Essence again. I'll say, that's what I get for cheapening out! So I give this 111SKIN HARLEY ST. LONDON Antioxidant Energising Essence 4 stars for now!

i have sensitive skin and this did not break me out or cause any redness, it smells so good and works well under my hyaluronic acid :)

Smells great, feels great on skin, never stings or itches. Nourishing without drying or being oily. Love love love!

I must admit, I didn't know what Essence was. I just ordered this because I was familiar with the brand from one of my subscription boxes. In fact, the first couple of days, I was using this as a toner. I was going to write my review saying that it was basically a fancy toner. Then I decided to look into what Essence actually is. I learned that it's an important step in Korean skincare. It is to be used AFTER the toner but BEFORE moisturizer. I have been using it that way for the last week or so. It is supposed to help with the appearance of wrinkles. The consistency is like a toner. It comes in a sturdy glass bottle. It has a pleasant smell that is very natural and not artificial. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I haven't noticed any new results from using it, but with most anti-aging products, I don't really notice results because A) I have been using anti-aging products consistently for several years and B) I'm not always the most observant person and C) my close up vision is worthless and I can't see anything without my reading glasses! Overall, I am enjoying this additional step to my skincare routine. I probably wouldn't purchase this again because it is a bit pricey, however if I start to see major results, I would consider it and I will come back and update this.

I can't tell you how many times I've rolled my eyes when I read reviews saying someone used a new skincare product and saw results that day. Yeah right! No way! Well I'll never roll my eyes at those reviews again - not after having used this glorious essence. 🥰An essence is supposed to balance your skin. I cleanse, tone, essence, serum, moisturizer, yaddy yadda yadda. I've used decent essences in the past, and I know what they're SUPPOSED to be doing, but I never felt like they were actually doing anything, not that I noticed anyways. I've been dealing with redness on my left cheekbone for a few months now. I have tried tons of products, none have been effective. The day I got this 111Skin essence I put it on before bed. When I woke up the next day I could not stop oohing and aahing at my complexion! It wasn't perfect of course. But oh my G! My skin looked less red and more even all across my face. I can't believe how amazing this is. It comes in a fancy glass bottle with a stopper in it. Thank you, whoever decided that stopper was necessary. The lid on mine wasn't screwed on and some of this leaked. It smells like an eau de parfum (spell check, did I get it right?). I love it. I will 1000000% never let myself run out of this. I'll reorder when I'm running low. If you're thinking about this product, I know it's a steep price. But I can tell you it's been worth it a hundred fold for me.

This has an ingredient list than I can actually approve of! It’s very natural and the ingredient list is short and to the point. It’s so natural, you can almost eat it. (But don’t do that 😝) there’s no unhealthy stuff in it like cross-polymers and carbomers etc. the only thing bedsides the outrageous price that disappoints me, is the fact that this contains regular alcohol, instead of natural grain alcohol, and honestly this would be a superior product if they had added witch hazel and left out the alcohol. Another thing I really like about this, is that even though it’s really natural, they kindly left out the patchouli and geraniol, which seems to be in all of the more natural products these days and I just can’t stand the smell! This has a very nice fragrance that reminds of of... honeysuckle-cucumber perhaps?
