Great battery, easily replaced 5-year-old original in minutes. If concerned about doing it right, watch one of the many online videos first.If your Dyson is pulsing, check the filters first. My D7 has a filter that goes into the top, under a plastic cover integrated into the filter. That solved the pulsing problem.This new replacement battery made the runtime go from 20 minutes to over an hour. Now I can vacuum the entire first floor nonstop! Plus greater power capacity than OEM replacement, at much lower cost.Old battery died after one room. Ugh, Dyson, give us better batteries!

I previously reviewed this when I got it at the end of Sept. 2023 and of course it worked fine then. Now, almost 4 months later it runs for about 2 minutes! This started a month ago. This is my third edit to this review. I bought a lithium ion battery capacity tester and dismantled and tested the batteries. See the image of the battery pack case that says it is 6000 mAh.There are 6 3.7v cells in series, that means each cell is adding up voltage to the 21.6 volts. However, that means the mAh don't change because it's wired in series. So each cell should be a 6,000 mAh capacity. I can't find anybody that makes one! You're lucky to get a decent 3,800 mAh 18650 lithium-ion single cell. I will note that each battery weighs 43g which is about right.Looking at my images, you can see that newly charged cells are around 4.14-5. 4.2 would be better, but this is okay. The next image shows the cutoff voltage the tester will use to calculate the cell's capacity. I first tried them at the default of 3.0v cutoff but changed to 2.6 (yes, I tried 2.7 also). The fourth image shows the tested capacity. I did all six cells and they averaged around 1,500 mAh. You can see the battery model numbers, but good luck finding the specs for these online. I found a used cell supplier that rated these at 2,000 mAh. Mine were still so new that I think I am right at the 1,500 spec. I tested other cells I had with consistent results, so I think my testers are working just fine.I still need to contact Amazon about these shady listings. There is no way any of these claiming 6,000 mAh when a single set of cells joined in series can be this. The description on this battery pack says, "Capacity: 6000mAh（No Fake High Label Capacity." This pack came from the POWTREE Store. It is completely FAKE!I'm not an electrical engineer, I just taught computers and also wanted to repair my bad DeWalt and Ridgid battery packs (yes, I know Ridgid has a warranty, and I've used it). But this kind of thing really ticks me off. My advice is to not buy any of these compatible Dyson replacement battery packs that advertise anything over 3,500 mAh. They are just not honest.

Battery is perfect fit in the Dyson. Works well, good power & run-time

Battery ran well for 30 days. After it stopped cold. I'm requesting replacement according to the items description. Durability:Not at all. Failed cold and hard in 30 days.

Battery on my Dyson vac wouldn’t charge, OEM replacements were crazy expensive, this was an economical solution. Easy to install, it fit perfectly, looks just like the original, and it functions with the wall charge hanger that comes with the Dyson. It does know when to stop accepting a charge after the battery is full, so it’s not just sitting there pulling power all day long. 10/10 would recommend. Find it to hold as long of a charge as the original. No issues after several months of use.

This is the second replacement battery I have ordered for a Dyson V7. I received it Jan. 27 & use the vacuum 2-3 X's each week. It worked fine until this past week & now no longer chargers nor does the blue light come on that indicates it is connected to power. I then ordered a new charger for my 7 year old Dyson. That did not work. I pulled out the old battery & it is working. Therefore I can only assume that this last battery only lasted for 3 months which is not a positive outcome. I will look for an alternative battery option.This is an addendum to my previous review. I reviewed this item in haste. In retrospect, I may have burned the battery out because the vacuum cleaner had an obstruction & needed to be cleaned. I have now done that & my newer battery works fine. I did refer to my information booklet that I received with my vacuum cleaner when I ordered it almost 8 years ago. It cited that if the vacuum has a pulsing type sound & function, it is likely due to an obstruction. I now have a functioning vacuum.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Lasted 3 months. Worked well at first, but seemed it began losing its charge after the first couple of uses. Then started to only last 10min on a full charge. Eventually stopped charging and displayed red light.

Fitment is perfect and the battery works perfect so far. Cross my fingers that it lasts as long as OEM.. Very pleased so far. Thanks seller
