This is the shampoo I’ve been using for many years, and I like it because it doesn’t leave my hair smelling like some awful perfume. Not too many places sell it anymore, so I ordered it through Amazon. It’s become very expensive, however since it’s not offered thru Prime and I had to pay shipping cost. May have to change shampoos if I can find one with little or no fragrance.

Nucleic hair products have been around a long time. It is an excellent product. It is concentrated and all you need is a small amount. My hair is fine but a lot of it. It leaves my hair shiny, clean; does not weigh my hair down like some shampoos. I love this product and would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, it is hard to find; but Amazon came through!

I bought 2 of these thinking I would like it because I had used the original version for more than 30 years. For the first few weeks of use the shampoo poured out like water mixed with oil. Since then, what remains of the first bottle is basically sludge that you have to squeeze out of the bottle with every bit of your hand strength. What has now become clear is that the ingredients had separated inside the bottle, with the oiliest part rising to the top and separating from the thicker ingredients that remain at the bottom. I couldn't be more disappointed because not only is the new "Supermoist" version a complete fail, but the original amazing Nucleic A appears to have been discontinued. How does a shampoo maker produce a product without testing it to ensure it is fit for distribution? So sad, but moving on from Nucleic A forever. Do yourself a favor and don't allow yourself to be ripped off like I was.

This is a different version of Nucleic A Protoplex shampoo, IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL, the texture of this shampoo in nothing like the original. This states on the bottle “Supermoist” so I believe it is a different formula….it is made by the same company Lamar…..I had some of the original formula to compare it to…..I still plan to use it, lol

This is a decent shampoo, but it is not the old Protoplex. The color is more yellow than burnt orange. The coconut/tropical fragrance is 10 times stronger than the old Protoplex and sickening sweet. It is also very, very thin. I am going to use it, but taking a completely different shampoo and adding way too much fragrance does not make it the old Protoplex that was discontinued.

(Update) Now that we have had a few more days with this, the smell has become awful. This may not be any form of Nucleic-A shampoo.(Earlier impression) This is supposedly more moist, but basically it's runny and watery. Will search for the regular old Nucleic A.
