Words can't express how happy I am with these fans! I purchased the set of 2.Our rented apartment is just under 1k sq ft and has wall AC units. Running them brings the electric bill sky high and does little to indoor temps because of excessive humidity that the wall AC units can't seem to control. Since covering up and refusing I use the AC wall units, I've looked into so many options. I avoided fans because of the insistence that fans don't cool spaces. (Given my experiences with various home fans, this was true.)After searching some industrial fans and seeing reviews claiming actual cooling effects from these, I figured why not? Our apartment has been 80 degrees all week with no reprieve during 60 degrees evenings outside. If nothing else, maybe the humidity could be addressed.Within 5 minutes of easy set up and turning the fans on high, the apartment feels liveable again. If you're like me concerned about the qualitative data, all 3 thermostats I use across the apartment all showed a 1 degree temperature drop in those same 5 minutes.As for sound, yes "like a small aircraft taking off" does accurately describe the *sound*. (They are literally propellers moving at industrial speed.) But the volume is a far cry from that of an airplane. Rest assured that the decibels are safe and low enough for comfort.I highly recommend giving these a try for increasing air flow and cooling down home spaces.

I purchased these for my East TN home - my ancient AC died and it’s hot and humid. The 20” are amazing. They come assembled except for snapping on the base. Yes they are noisy but it’s totally worth it. I use them for my dogs - who lie in front of them blissed out. I set them just outside my doors at night and they draw in cool air and blast it into the house. I’m going to order two more immediately.

I bought two of these. One runs 24/7 on speed 2, and has since I almost when I bought it. One runs frequently, on speed 1. Both still work, are still balanced, are still as quiet as day one. I wish speed 1 was slower, but they still WORK. That's more than I can say about the five Amazon Basics fans I've bought. You rent Amazon Basics fans. You OWN these. That's worth paying for.

Will cool off the entire room. Great air flow. It is loud though.

Great fan. Came fully assembled, just plugged it in and it worked great. A great fan for the price. Not as noisy as others have reported. A great fan for the bedroom as my wife can't sleep without a fan on her. Great circulation throughout the room. Blows hard even on low.

These are great fans! Well made, much more quiet than our prior fans. We use them outside on our covered patio. So happy to get rid of the other crappy fans!

Strong made, good stiff air circulation. Am looking to purchase another!
