This book was a big hit for my 4 year old. She loved drawing the animals and erasing to try again. Perfect for the airport. The one thing I would say though is that it is heavy to put in a kids backpack to carry. It might be better for fewer pages and a little less bulky.

Instead of having those infamous “how-to-draw” books’ insane leaps from three triangles and some ovals to a magical majestic fire-breathing dragon, etc, this book has doable steps for very young kids to make simple animals. My six year-old is not afraid of this book!, And it doesn’t screw up his confidence; best endorsement for a kid’s “how-to-draw” book possible. Encourage your little ones to have fun with what they learn, and work it into their own style and into things they already feel confident drawing, and it will add to the art and joy, not by limiting their imagination!—but by making kids less afraid they “ don’t know how to draw a kitty,” etc!

You get a bang for your buck with this one! There's a ton of animals to do. My 5 year old enjoys this a lot. I can see anyone from 5-10 enjoying this! I even enjoy doing it with my daughter. We outline the animals in black then use our other dry erase markers to color them in. No issues erasing either.

Illustrations seem easy. Excited to gift this to our grandchildren!

Purchased for my 5yo for a long plane ride- she was entranced. Since then this is a staple in my backpack for church, waiting rooms, and road trips! She has gotten hours of use from this so far. The steps are super simple and results are satisfying for kiddos. I got some expo markers with erasers on the end which work beautifully with this. I absolutely recommend purchasing this book, it's worth every penny!

6 year-old really enjoys drawing the animals and the instructions are appropriate for their fine motor skill level. Paper is of good quality and erases cleanly.

The book is good but ours arrived heavily used and marked up. Disappointing
