Short Bible Stories
A short 55 page (of large print) introduction to interesting stories of the Kings. This is a good short primer for those who have short attention spans and get lost reading the Bible. You get a glimpse of the Kings without reading the longer versions in the Bible. The Book of Samuel covers about 80 pages in a standard Bible and the Book of Kings is about 75 pages in the Bible with much smaller print. I do like it tho and recommend it as an introduction.

Great Bible Cliff Notes on this Topic!
Overall this is a quick read and good reference for understanding the Israelite Kings of the Bible with dates that notable events took place. Although nothing comes before the Bible itself, this cliff notes like guide helps to tie everything together and fill in the key details with a very easy to understand approach, for both children and adults. It uses Bible Scripture as the main reference (I really like this! I'm on a journey to understand the Most High, His Word and the timeline that all of these events occurred and sources like this are useful.) Other sources are cross-referenced too for further in-depth research.I also really like that there are timelines of the shared at the end of what would usually be the appendix (but it is not marked as such) they are:⏳Timeline of the Kings of Israel and Judah⌛Timeline of Kings during the Divided Monarchy Kings of Judah Kings of IsraelI took two stars off because in the title and throughout the text Hebrew Israelite and Jewish are used interchangeably. This is incorrect because the Kings of Israel and Judah were Hebrew Israelites, NOT Jewish! So many people get this easy to digest concept all wrong. The “ish” added to the word “Jew” means to be like, add thereto, to assimilate, etc. “Ish” is a suffix, which in this case means they have taken on the culture of the Hebrews: "like" but ARE NOT Hebrews. The Kings of Israel were not an assimilation (read: Jewish) they were the Most High's Chosen one's the Hebrew Israelites {This Important!}. Using these names interchangeably causes a lot of confusion in reference to this content. These Kings and their stories are all in the Old Testament (the term Jewish was not used then), Jewish doesn't appear in Scripture until the New Testament (very different time periods). I repeat: No where in Scripture are the Kings mentioned in this book referenced as Jewish, but it does say they were Hebrew Israelites, I digress.Overall it's a decent book that aids in delving further into this topic in a easy to understand way, but again it should not be a replacement for reading the actual Word.

Loved it
I really enjoyed this book. I find the history of Israel and Judah’s kinda fascinating. I love the way this book broke it down king by king. Each king has about a paragraph that sums up their reign, with timelines and history as well. This book is very short but informative, which makes it perfect for a SAHM like me reading for enjoyment. Highly recommend.

Well written, but not as in depth as I had hoped
I was searching for and in depth study of the history and culture of the Israeli people, but as it stands you would be much better off reading a religious text to find some background information.
