Bin Buddys (2/Pack) - Garbage/Trash/Recycling Bin Strap Prevents Wind from Scattering Trash/Recycling - Automatically Releases for Trash Truck

This is the third device I've tried to use to keep racoons out of my trash. This is by far the best. On one can, it worked as designed and attached with just the enclosed adhesive. The other can has a deep texture on the lid and the adhesive could not adhere. However, I attached the strap with a single screw and it works as designed. 5 stars!

Have product on two trash cans. It is easy to apply, durable (been out in bad weather and banged around by trash men). Adhesion is good but not strong enough to deter critters. Strap on top of lid came off. But easy fix. Screwed a small screw through strap on top of lid into the lid. Stopped multiple critter attacks, trash can knocked over and trash can stayed closed. Also, trash men have no problem opening the lid.

I live in a windy area and grew irritated with having to clean up after my bins. Fortunately, the Bin Buddy relieved me of this issue. The velcro is solid, waste management has no issues emptying the bins and I've not had to clean up a single bit of trash from a lid that's been blown open or bin that fell over.The adhesive used is their only setback. After only a couple days, my straps were on the ground.To remedy this, I used a couple stubby screws and an electric drill to secure the straps instead. No problems since. Only reason it's getting a 4 instead of a 5 is because extra, unprovided equipment was needed.

You need to undo them every time you want to put trash in your can, so if your hands are full it’s a little tricky. Wish they had an “ open “ setting . They work great for the wind though.

I wish I would've bought these a long time ago. Always fighting with raccoon(s) to stay out of my garbage can. Tried putting bricks on top but they would knock them off. Put on one of these straps and I have had no problems at all. It was so easy to put on the can, and so far has adhered with no problems and seems very durable. I would recommend to anyone to keep out critters or just to keep the lid down on your can.

I really wanted to find a way to keep our trash in the bin before pickup, that's how I found Bin Buddy. I have zero mechanical abilities and even I could install it, which was great. It adheres really well when you follow the directions (clean the surface well with the alcohol wipe) and works great with the automated recycling and trash trucks.

The adhesiveness does not hold up in the sun. The bottom part no longer sticks rendering it useless. I am going to try glue to see if that works but it looks like the sun melts it and makes it not bond to the garbage can. Only had this for a month and very disappointed. Good concept if it can only work though.
