New Replacement Uncut Toyota Corolla Remote Key HYQ12BEL 89070-02880

I bought a used 2018 Corolla for my son that came with just one key. I figured I'd DIY it and buy a key and the programmer and get the key cut at a locksmith. Amazon insisted this product didn't work with my 2018 Corolla, but the chip number listed matched the chip in the key I had. So for a little less than other listings I gave this one a purchase. I took the key to a locksmith which charged me $5 to cut it. Once he realized I had the programmer and seemed to know what I was doing he was very helpful. I might give him my business next time if the price is similar. It took me several tries with the programmer to get it to work but the error was I wasn't waiting long enough between the the beeping on the device to stop and removing my original key before putting in the new one and waiting for the light to flash. So, if you do this, wait for the light by the radio for the security lock to get solid red before removing the original key and putting in the new one. So, yeah, I'm really happy.

This item saved me about 30% of the cost of duplicating the one key I got with a used Toyota. It's a genuine Toyota key, unprogrammed. That was all the local dealer required for programming it, at less than half what they charged for the key plus the programming. Maybe I could have saved a bit more by having a locksmith program it, but I needed to go to the dealer for something else, so I had it done there. It works 100% fine.

I had the key cut by a locksmith who specializes on car keys. Multiple attempts were made to program the key using key programing tools but all attempts failed to reprogram the new key. What a waste of time money!

I bought this key with hopes it would work with my 2016 Toyota Corolla. I took it to the dealership for programming and was told that many, if not most, keys bought online do not work as they often use an incompatible microchip. I would be charged the $30 for cutting and $80 for programming, even if the key was not compatible. Well, it worked! The dealership would have charged about $150 for the same key. I used the compatibility "calculator" at the top of the screen prior to purchase, and for me, the results were accurate...it matched my car and it works like a charm.

I like the Seller had the part number advertised so that I could match the part number with the part number that Toyota Parts department representative gave to me. The number matched and the key had the "H" located near the remote buttons area. I took my original remote key and the (2) remote replacement uncut keys to Lake Gaston Ace Hardware in Littleton, NC and the gentleman cut and programmed the new keys. He did an excellent job and he also tested each remote key to make sure that they worked properly before we left their store. We saved hundreds of dollars by buying this key and going to the Ace Hardware and having them cut and programmed the replacement keys. If you need this key for your 2014 Toyota Corolla LE and you have confirmed the replacement part number with the Toyota Parts department order it.The Seller shipped the replacement keys to me before the expected delivery date. We are very pleased.

I like it very useful key and great price

This key and remote work perfectly fine for my Toyota Corolla S 2015 (H chip). I saved around $250 by not going to the dealer and have them cut the key and program it.

I bought a used car that only had one key. I did a little on-line research and purchased this key blank to be cut and programmed by a local locksmith. The key blank is an exact duplicate of the key I had, and the locksmith was able to cut and program the key to work perfectly at roughly half of what it would have cost at the dealership. Very pleased with the quality of the key blank.
