Works like a charm
Unbelievable how much dust and particles get into the air after using my planer and table saw! With this attached though my shop is clean. What a time saver.

This is really good for the price...with one negative point re: materials/construction
Getting the parts out of the well-packed carton, I was happily surprised to discover all the components are made of metal. Heavy gauge steel. I expected the impeller housing to be plastic, but it's steel, 16 or 18 gauge. Rock solid. Same goes for the base pan, and all steel parts are nicely powder coated black or red. Assembly was easy and everything fit nicely. The only adverse aspect of assembly was the Rivnut (threaded insert) to mount the upper bag support mast: it was spinning in place. There is no way to fix it as is, so I pulled out the Rivnut and installed the mast with two large fender washers and two nuts. It's stronger this way anyway. For a buyer that has no hardware to make this sort of repair, it's a show-stopper because a spinning Rivnut will continue to become more loose through use, and in this case the vertical support will flop over. For chip/dust extraction, this is a substantial upgrade from a large Shop Vac. I removed the 90-degree hose coupler from the impeller housing and installed the flex hose directly to it which noticeably improved the airflow. This works extremely well with the 14" planer and 16" horizontal drum sander. It takes up the same amount of floorspace as a 16-gal Shop Vac, but far outperforms it. For the price, this one is very hard to beat. The auto-on function is a very slick feature too.

Weak suction
To qualify for writing this review, I am a remodeling contractor, so I use a lot of tools and machines and hold my tool performance to pretty high standards. My intent isn't to vent and get back at the company by damaging their rating, but rather to try to help others to to make an informed decision in buying a dust collector and I just have to be honest. A lot of reviews are pretty vague, like "worked great" or "good little machine," but that's not super helpful for a guy like me, so I'm going to give an in depth, review.I perform majority of the work I do onsite, but from time to time I have custom woodwork or cabinet projects that I do in my small workspace in my shop. This space also doubles as storage for all my contractor tools in open shelving, which after a couple projects are just covered in dust along with every other square inch of shop and that makes me want to cry. So I decided to get a dust collector which didn't need to be extravagant or industrial. So after mulling it over for a few days and reading other reviews, this Bucktool machine seemed like the best bang for my buck. I was feeling alright about this unit untill the first time I flipped on the switch to test the suction. Packaging was ok other than the small screws and washers tossed half hazardly into a box that some of them fell out of into main box in transit. Assembly alright, but kind of frustrating since a few of the holes machined in metal legs didn't line up perfectly with the holes in motor housing, so a real pain to get the bolts started. So back to the suction, it sucks! Not in a good way. I had it stepped down to 2.5 inch hose with the propper reducer hooked strait up to the 4" inlet on the machine and just one 7 foot, I think it is, 2.5" shop vac hose hooked up to that. I expected the step down to improve the suction. What I had when I turned it on was the same or a little less suction than my shop vac. I could not believe it, as I was putting my hand on it, sticking end of hose to my cheek and it was just week. I thought maybe I was crazy and so I turned on my Ridgid 12 gallon shop vac, which is rated at 144 CFM and put one hand over the end of that hose and the other hand over the end of hose of the dust collector, both being shop vac hoses, and sure enough the shop vac seemed to be sucking a little stronger. So I checked to see if something wasn't sealed somewhere on the dust collector or if it was damaged and even took the top bag off to see if that might be restricting air flow, but no change. It felt like there was a little air blowing out above the motor which seemed weird, but not enough to raise serious concern. I think this dust collector is just weak and and the CFM rating is a big stretch. But this is just my opinion. I could contact the company and ask them if this seems right or if they think it's defective but I don't see this machine ever working out for me, so I'm just going to return and pay $30 more for the Wen 2HP 1500 CFM bad boy direct from Wen like I should have in the first place. I'm not even keeping this thing around long enough to use it with a machine.Oh and it's pretty noisy. My wife texted me from inside the house which is 75 feet from the sholp asked me what the heck I was doin when I first kicked it on at 10:30PM 😆.I really hope this helps someone in making a decision that can be a tough one to make.

Good solid machine
I’ve used the dust collection machine several times with my CNC router, and it works great. It has a good amount of suction, and is reasonably quite. The machine was easy to assemble, and arrived without any damage. If you are looking for a single machine dust collector, I think you would be satisfied with this product.

Connectors/Reducers don't fit any of my shop tools? Seriously!!!
After setting up the collector, I tested it out and it seemed to be doing what its supposed to do, suck up saw dust. No issue there, but when I went to do my first test with it connected to my table saw, none of the provided adapters fit. My saw has a 2 1/2 diameter dust port and nothing supplied fit, it was close, but no cigar. So, I thought, maybe it will work with my radial arm saw, so, I tried to connect it and again, none of the provided adapters fit. I didn't bother testing every tool I own, but now I had to order a bunch of reducers and figure out how to make this thing connect to my tools. This isn't what I thought I signed up for, and honestly I had a lot of work to do and tired of getting sawdust all over the shop. This was supposed to be an affordable solution, now it's becoming a problem, costing more that anticipated and taking longer to put into use, if at all.

Good product
Works great, it’s a little noisy. Love the see through bags, great suction with 2 1/2” hose. 4” will suck the shirt off your back.

Automatic on/off
You can plug your tool (lathe, etc) into the dust collector. When you turn on the tool, the dust collector will also turn on. The problem is that when you turn the tool off, the dust collector continues to run.
