This is a very great air intake. It gives you that extra power and performance that you never had, and the sound is so sweet and loud when it wants to. I'm so happy that I bought it. I have nothing bad to say about it. I have it over 1 month now and it's just great. My 2012 ford explorer xlt awd sounds great. Heads turning to look what's that. And when they look it's a ford explorer. Just wonderful 😊. And it's well made .

I recently installed the Spectre COD Cold Air Intake and couldn’t be happier with the results. Good fitment, like normal aftermarket stuff kinda has to finesse and fidget with it a little for good fitment but overall nothing major and didn't need modifications, the supplied thin rubber line that shields the intake pipe from chafing on the shield seems a little weak and takes some coaxing to fit but so far after 3k miles seems to be holding up still. No idea on mileage increase but makes fantastic intake noise and well worth the cost.

The media could not be loaded. I installed this on my 2017 Ford explorer (police interceptor utility) with the 3.7L (same as the 3.5) and I am happy with it. A little tinny after 6k rpm but not like you ever spend much time past that. Sounds stock when cruising even at 80 down the interstate, but has a nice deep tone above 3.5k rpm when giving it throttle. It really is a nice addition for making driving a little more entertaining. Instructions aren't brilliant but aren't totally useless, installation was easy. Comes with a blanking plate for the map sensor which I think they stopped using in 2015 models, so glad they included that, just wish they would have included an Allen key for snugging up the blanking plate bolts.

My 2013 Ford Explorer looks great under the hood! Bang for buck is the best part of this intake kit. Easy to install and immediate results. I haven't got off the gas pedal yet it sounds so good! I'm verifiable proof that this intake is going to produce more horsepower and sound and looks great under the hood. You can't beat it, name brand, and puts the price tag on its competitors to shame!

Great fit, good quality and sounds amazing

Install was straight forward and easy didn't even need instructions loved the fact that it used the lower half of the factory air box to keep in place and the clips were still used. Only thing I don't like is the chrome finish. I would recommend a air filter bag since the seals don't seal perfectly

Very disappointed in the quality. I know it's not a K&N, but K&N is the parent company of Spectre and I expected a lot more than the crappy product I received. The quality of the welds and intake tube in general is horrific. There are jagged and sharp aluminum protrusions inside the intake tube. Had I not noticed them and removed the large and loose pieces from the welds, they would have ended up in my engine. I want my money back.
