Main seal fit great, paper seal arrived torn. Used gasket maker anyway. Good seal

Good alternative to the $50+ the dealer wanted for their seal. Installed in my 4runner, no issues.note: I used Toyota FIPG to seal the plate rather than the included gasket, Toyota does not use such a gasket.

It's a seal. It works.
For once I had someone else do the install instead of myself. I didn't hear about any issues with the seal and so far no leaking with about 5000 miles on it.

Basic part, difficult to install on some models
The item is probably ok. The problem lies with the installation. For the Toyota 3.0 the oil pan must be dropped to remove and replace this rear main seal. To drop the pan on my 4Runner either the front differential must be dropped to get clearance. The makes a fairly routine rear main seal replacement while doing the clutch much, much more difficult. Last Toyota I'll ever buy.
